The site has been under new ownership for a couple years and transitioning to a completely new forum style and setup takes time to get the bugs out. Glad to see the effort though.
This says it all. The forum has been on life support for sometime now and only got a slight bump during lockdowns. Just piss poor management for years, all the good mods and SMEs are gone either passed away or went inactive and the ones that are active just s***post in GD all day and want to make it their own echo chamber. The fact that the new format has GD on top of all the AR related forums shows just how worthless this place has become for anything AR or shooting related. Whoever these new owners are, if you actually paid money for this place, you just got ripped off.

‘A couple years ago’ Grant, a site owner and owner of G and R tactical was indicted for shady ammo and gun dealing through his business. A cop was involved.
His wife Roxanne was also owners of that business and maybe this site.
So yeah a couple years ago grant likely dumped ownership of everything he owned. I’d assume all just to his wife.
So they are all about shady dealings. I’d assume this site only currently exists so that who ever legally owns it now can milk the sponsorship for anything they can, and or have to fulfill the rest of their contracts or refund those companies.
I don’t see a single site sponsor other than willbrink renew their advertising to this shot show.
The above details on grant and Roxanne may not be 100% accurate. But google is your friend the whole story is on there.
Attitudes like that in my sig line, (if it’s even visible anymore), killed this forum.

This new forum is the absolute worst forum I have ever seen or been on. LOL !! I’m done with it and it has been a blessing in disguise.

Nice to see you back but where were you old guard guys these past few years? We literally had rogue mods like Dumb Gun Collector banning people for disagreeing with him and completely screwing up GD, no other mods were on except maybe Skintop trying hold down the fort to keep down the spammers. Sam literally did nothing and watch this place burn. Now this place is so irrelevant Ive gone back to TOS. This whole revamp is bloody disaster.

I sounded the alarm almost a full year before the reskin, not sure where the thread went since finding old stuff is a PITA. But hey the powers in control at the time let this place turn into a political echo chamber with a bunch of people don’t shoot and thats exactly what they got. Doesnt matter how much you reskin the site when the actual content being posted is trash.

As I mentioned elsewhere I think this forum is on autopilot until it slams into a mountain. Nothing is getting fixed, upgraded or changed.

Yeah… I haven’t seen Discourse expert @pfaffman around in a while. Perhaps he’s busy elsewhere telling folks what he can’t or won’t do. That said, my guess is the owner of this “user-friendly” Discourse graveyard kept him on a short leash.
