Wowā¦ They took the most promising design to hit the market it years, sell thousands of buyers on it before they could even handle itā¦ then they pulled down their pants and dropped a big stinking dookie on it.
These should sell with the typical BM buyers, and thatās about itā¦

I knew Bushmaster would fuck that up when they got hold of it. 3000 dollars for that thing? No thanks. Iāll buy a SCAR-H and spend the other 800 bucks on ammunition.
Magpul should have sold the design to Colt.
I think the SCAR-H is supposed to MSRP for an additional $500. So, $3195 or something like that.
I think I might go by myself a nice M4 tomorrow.
Dealer on the SCAR-H is $22?? is the word I got.
Like I said in the GD threadā¦Both the SCAR and ACR are overpriced but FN has a long history of quality and has supplied the west with military firearms for decades.
BM supplies 3rd world countries, and does not have a history of quality firearms.
At the prices currently out there Id be much more inclined to go with FN than a friggin Bushmaster and their QC history.

If I were Robinson, Iād post something on the XCR website about how demand has surged and that lead times are a bit longer now.
Seems like a shame that theyāre doing what theyāre doing. If they are going to produce it as is right now, Iām hoping theyāll correct these issues a few months down the line but who knows. On a side note, it seems you can simply purchase the basic model and simply purchase the upgraded components such as collapsing stock and railed forend at a later time so thereās no need to wait for the enhanced if youāre DYING to have one at the cut rate price of 8000 on gun broker. :rolleyes:

After waiting (im)patiently ever since the Magpul prototype came out, I am really
disappointed. It amazes me that BM could squander such an opportunity. The SCAR
looks far more appealing to me now. If FN just stopped their ridiculous antics with the
limited black edition and offered it in black as a standard option, Iād buy one today.
People are going to be talking for a long time about what could have
been. Wonder what Magpul feels about this now. Iām sure they are under a contractual
gag order
