With this site slowly going the way of the Titanic where do the gun guys hang out? This was really the only gun forum I actively participated on but with the way things are going I am not too optimistic it is going to get better or more active. Anywhere else you guys go for good gun talk and the occasional political bickering?
I try to post gun replies and threads here. But there’s a bunch of EE and current event threads that are clogging up the works.
I’ve been posting on Glocktalk because there’s activity over there and I’m on a Glock shooting kick lately. But you start to get a whiff of the old ARFcom retardation there that’s inherent in general population gun forums. It’s nowhere near as bad, but there’s a mixture of guys over there and an occassion special needs thread pops up from time to time.

Not sure if you’re serious? I do get a lot of Reddit links when I’m searching gun stuff though.
I’m on MichaelBane.TV and Palmetto State Armory, some other old friends from Way Back in my college days are making their home on Springfield’s forum.
I’m not a “cool kid” though, nor trying to be…
I’ve never been on Reddit and for some reason have always avoided it. But I may end up checking it out.
I’ll wander over to Glocktalk. Lately I’ve been spending a lot more time pistol shooting than I have rifle shooting anyways.
I had to use fifteen characters, so multiplied by 3.
There’s a lot on Reddit.
I’m on Lightfighter, have been for years, but traffic is way down. Still solid info and OSINT as always.
Pistol-Forum too, very good technical discussions, and DOTW. You guys should participate in the DOTW.
My state of WA has a localish board, WaGuns.org.

The’ve done these for years, and participating in them has been fun, and has pushed me to learn new things and become a better pistol shot.
I get in there even if I suck at it! Doesn’t matter. Being there is what counts.

Someone was posting drill of the week for a while over on Glocktalk too. May have been the same thing spilling over from pistol-forum.
Last couple days adds have not been loading for me here. No change to my browser (phone). Makes me feel the days of this site staying up limited.

I was registered there many years ago, may just start a new account.

I sincerely hope this site survives. The thought of going back to BARFCOM is sickening. Besides, I left (got booted from) there in a blaze of glory over 12 years ago—I ended up telling that POS Ed Sr. exactly what he could do with his website, literally, which then devolved into a series of vulgar email exchanges between he and I. The mods there are lazy; if you’ve ever had a time-out then you are/were automatically in the wrong going forward. No looking at what was actually said (gee, I dunno, it’s in writing for all to see), you’re WRONG. Last one was the straw that broke the camel’s back and I told them, in explicit terms, what I thought of them and their website. They have favorites there and they play them.

And if your primary email isn’t from an ISP it’s “Go Eat A Dick We Don’t Want You”–my ISP is Straight Talk Prepaid which doesn’t provide an ISP email.
I had hoped that Pete Brownell would bring ARFCOM up to the standards of the Brownells brand, but sadly he seems to be sinking his family business to their level instead.
