I have a VTAC Alpha on my AR, and I have no complaints. However, I am considering putting my rifle on a diet (16" BCM SS barrel), and the BCM Keymod looks promising for lightening it up along with a change of scope mount. If I was now purchasing my first rifle, depending on its intended use, I would probably consider rails such as the NSR, BCM Keymod, URX, or Geissele.

I was partial to Larue rails for the longest time (and still like them a lot), but these days I primarily use Daniel Defense Lite Rail 3 or RIS II.
I’m a Noveske NSR guy but, I have to agree that the BCM KMR is pretty damn nice.
I’m waiting for the ALG Defense EMR V2 M-LOK to become available in DDC , although
I may just get it in black .
It appears to have EVERYTHING I have been waiting for .
Light ,smooth ,economic ,highly modular ,and just the right length .
I was going to wait for the V3 with the full length rail , but I thought
that I’d rather go with the reduced weight of the partial rail .
I have a couple of troy rails and a bcm kmr.
Totally a fan of the kmr. So much so, that I’ll have a troy mrf for sale soon.
BCM KMR is top of the heap, but I also like Odin Works, and Midwest keymod and MLOK is solid, and ALG for the money is very nice.
DD lite III (DD finally got the profile correct with the lite III), Centurion C4, or BCM KMR.
I love my Geissele Mk4 keymod. It might not be as light as the KMR but I love the strength and rigidity.

ALG EMR by far, standardizing all my rifles to the ALG barrel nut, rail model will vary.

I really like the MI SSM M-Lok that I switched over to on two different rifles. I still have the Centurion C4 rails that I replaced… Liked them enough that I can’t seem to part with them though.
I’m running my first keymod rail on my DD M4 V11. So far so good.
Having consolidated everything to keymod the KMR is king of the hill so far, though the DD Slim Line on my “SPR” seems pretty great so far. That said if mlock had come out a couple months earlier (i.e. before i went to keymod) I would be all over the ALG and Geissele offerings.
This is me exactly… I had 4 C4 rails, 9, 10(x2) and 12… and a 10 BCM KMR. I have recently found the DD Lite III and OMG… I wanted a rail that was a quad, and the smallest overall diameter, and the DD Lite 3 is it… KMR is awesome for profile, but I wanted that quad picitanny rail.

Current inventory is URX 3.1 (x2), BCM KMR and Geissele Mk5. But I really would like to get my hands on a DD Slim rail to try out. And I’m still not happy about Geissele abandoning keymod.
BCM KMR, at this time. I prefer the LOOK of the KAC URX4 but the need to install the LPGB after the rail, and the LPGB limitations associated with that, is kind of derp IMHO
