my upcoming upper build will host a geissele rail. my current gun has factory ddm4 rail. i love that rail too.
I recently switched from the Troy VTAC Alpha to the Fortis Rev. I won’t be going back!
Well I have only used two rails: the DD “LITE” and their Omega X.
I prefer the Omega X due to it be thinner, and the QD sockets.
I am, however, looking to replace it with the NSR if BCM does not make their KMR in 9"
The only rail I own is a Fortis rev 9 (on a build that has yet to be completed, the LMT 10.5 barrel is in the mail), so I guess that’s my preference.
OEM, MOE, or extra long for competition shooting

I have the 9” DD Omega on my BCM middy and a 13.5” NSR on my Noveske. While I like the Omega just fine, I like the NSR a lot more. I plan on replacing the Omega rail with a BCM KM.
Summed it up.
I have two NSR rails, 11 and 15 inchers, lights and sturdy. I have a 3.1 on my sr15, if I build another gun it’ll have a Geissele on it and if I buy another sr15 it’ll have a urx4 on it.
Not much more that is out currently that does anything better than those rails.
Call me old fashioned, but I still love the Troy VTAC Alpha. I often wonder why the newer mount designs, like those recently designed for key mod rails, are not reworked in a similar way to fit the VTAC. Aside from that the rail has all I need.
I’m currently running a Noveske NSR 13.5" and am very pleased with it.
15" nsr is going on my gun when I sell the current. I am currently running a 12" DD modular float rail. Loved it until I got my hands on an nsr. Helped my buddy build a rifle he picked the seekings 15". I really liked it once we got the barrel nut issue worked out.

barrel nut issue ?
They had a run if out of spec barrel nuts. When assembled the hand guard wouldn’t line up. My buddy shot them an email to make sure it wasn’t us. Turned out it wasn’t us and he had a new nut in a few days.

How long ago did you purchase the rail?
Just curious because I had a hell of a time trying to line the rails up.
Even though I don’t own one anymore, I am a hige fan of the Troy DeltaRail. its simple, drop in, and doesn’t have a bunch of unnecessary rails.
My Colt 6920 currently wears a DD Omexa-X 12.0FSP and that it a great rail, but it is heavier than it needs to be, for my setup.
If I am switching my rails out only two Id consider
quad : Centurion hands down, stock barrel nut, bomb proof, carbine, mid cut(middy) or 12 fsp

I run URX 3.1s and Noveske NSRs on all my weapons right now. Haven’t decided what to do on my 12.5 yet.
