Guys I have been offline due to a storm yesterday so I missed the thread regarding Grant and Arfcom. Juan has called me a liar publicly so this needs to be addressed.
Later tonite I will release a statement explaining what I know and try to clear the air for you guys. I will only make one statement and will never discuss arfcom again here on this board. I find it sad it has come down to a mud slinging match with the parties involved.
I will make this very clear. I will explain what I know, no half truths, no lies, nothing just straight up fact that I can prove. Please do not start any new threads regarding arfcom.
It wasn’t hard for me to figure out that he acted childish on the phone, got defensive, felt betrayed by you and then determined you must have been an enemy all along and absolutely had to have been in on “the Grant thing.”
He let his feelings over that phone call cloud his judgement and made assumptions about you he shouldn’t have.
Like I said the other day, We’re happy to have you all to ourselves, especially those of us who can’t go back there too!!
My biggest thing about the thread on ARFCOM regarding Grant is the fact that Juan has only put Grant’s name out there and refuses to list anyothers that were supposedly involved in pice fixing. Sounds like a bit of scapegoating to me which is completely unprofessional. Grant I have bought from you a few times and will continue to buy from you. My next purchase will be a weapon light from you. Thanks for the great service.
Grant, thank you for an awesome service and always being there to answer all questions, dumb ones too . You’ve replyed to emails and PM 24/7, even on Sundays. I’ve bought a lot of AR stuff from almost every dealer from this and the other site and the best service have been from GR Tactical. This is called CUSTOMER SERVICE and it cost time, $$$ and dedication! I’ll keep doing business with you and dealers with this kind of customer appreciation.
I have a slight different understanding of the facts above. IIRC I called Grant out as a dealer and he shortly became a dealer – I dont recall a locking or a denail - oh well
I can claim “blessed ignorance” of this or many other issues over “there” as I decided many years ago to drop off that site due to the massive amounts of BS that site has grown into.
I stopped using an account over there a long time ago, so much that I couldn’t even begin to remember a password and the e-mail I had used had changed at least once due to server switch - I don’t loose sleep over any of it.
My sincerest hope is the BS artists and fools don’t find their way over to this site.
Kevin is correct. I don’t remember my account ever being locked. I was a lowly member back in the early 2000’s and had just got my business license. I really didn’t sell much gear (under $10K for the first year) and didn’t think it was worth the money to get a dealer account.
It is interesting that my banning has nothing to do with the current thread on ARFCOM. Wonder why Juan chose to bring it up (again). Things that make you go Hmmmm.
Roger that. And you will have earned it. You’re going out of your way to obstinate and obtuse. You’re contributing ZERO to that thread. No everyone “has the inside clue”. Be a man. Say what’s on your mind or keep your trap shut.
That is strange, isn’t it. I replied to this same quote over there. GB has contradicted himself with that one. I fail to see the connection to his reasons for booting Grant and why he felt it necessary to bring this up now. I definitely don’t buy his excuse of “clearing the air”.
I have only recently become acquainted with Grant, but i can say that he has been very responsive, helpful & is being more than fair in his pricing of my new upper. BTW, MUR, noveske, DD Lite + other goodies… it isn’t going to be a cheap build. Matters not, I’m still spending my $$ with Grant. I may not agree with the idea presented in his email cited on ARF, but I have been treated well and have strong suspicions as to the motivations of the Avila’s.
Now, Grant, hurry up and send me my upper! I’m dying over here.
Scott and I are long friends and he basically knows my side of the story. The minute he opens up the flood gates, he will be banned and his comments edited out so you won’t get to see them. So cut the guy some slack!
To make things even stranger, when Juan orig. posted that e-mail in the team forum, he closed it stating that he was “done with it and if someone else wanted to pursue it they could, but he wasn’t going to.” I guess he forgot about that little statment.

Edited to add, it looks like Juan locked it. From what I could see, no one was out of line or broke any CoC rules. I guess he didn’t like that people asking questions that he couldn’t really answer.
Which is exactly why I hounded them into answering it. Notice his time line actually matches mine, albeit with a bunch of whiney garbage thrown in. I’m sorry it got locked because I didn’t get a chance to point that out.
IMHO there is more to the story than is being presented within that trial by hysteria taking place over there. The biggest issue being the withholding of names, the second… why now? By staff admission in that nutroll of a thread, they held this info for over a year.
And It certainly cannot be on grounds of morality, for they openly allow a “paid account” airsoft dealer to sell knock-offs of U.S. patented optics from companies they also receive advertising dollars from. Namely Trijicon. And I beat that horse, openly and back channel, until it was nothing but dog food. Has anything changed? No.
Therefore it can’t be a best interests thing irt to their board members. That or they need to eat off two plates. For you cannot take a stand on grounds of morality unless that stand is across the board.
That said, I have spent 10k + on my AR’s since December alone, all within ARFCOM board dealers, so I consider myself a well informed buyer irt pricing within that group. And having that amount to spend does not mean I do not shop aound.
So IF there was this gigantic plot as it is being spun, there would be huge price diffs’ between ARFCOM dealers and the rest out there. There is not. As a matter of fact, 98% of the time “ARFCOMs Dealers” have been cheaper than any other dealers found on the net.
And where my money has been distributed amongst those dealers (G&R, MSTN, ADCO, PK Firearms, and Rainier Arms only) does not matter. But I will say it has never been a case of price, more than it was a case of who had it in stock at the moment or stocked it at all. So again tell me, where is this great plot and crime as it is being spun?
I can only guess the biggest chest beaters over there have had their feelings hurt in the past by Grant. But I appreciate a no sugar coated explaination of what is the best, period. And the flip side is that it is my responsabilty as a consumer is to be informed enough to know that what is being preached is sound technical advice or bunk.
And if I were a dealer within this market, I would strive to deal the best too, and trumpet them just as vigorously. These are tools of life and death, not hype about which stereo receiver is best, save touchy feely for consumer reports. I don’t want truth suppression, irt to a product I am betting my life on, in the name of hiding my site from a potential lawsuit. Again, my life is worth more than that.
So I will call BS on the whole thing, and will think no differantly of G&R. Their service has always been prompt, below MSRP and the market beyond ARFCOM, and as advertised.
My opnion strictly as a consumer, I have no dog in this fight, so take it or leave it.
Just saw that Juan locked the thread too. His “discuss this like adults” comment was pretty lame. I think he didn’t like people questioning his reasons.
