Not just you guys - our officers and staff NCO’s who, by billet, never leave the wire, had the M4’s and plate carriers while we had guys operating daily out of LAVs and MATVs with M4’s and MTV’s.

I don’t see why we can’t standardize on a medium contour M4 barrel, DD GL/SSC Rail, and A5 stocks across the board. Mk318 Ammo will work good for what we’re doing right now, but this too makes too much sense. If we’re moving to all M230 UGL’s, why keep the M4 contour at all?

As far as difficulty justifying needless expense - UCP/ARPAT. Need I say more?

I mentioned this on LF, A TACP I know was issued MC everything but was only allowed to wear the MC ruck and plate carrier.

Why?

Because the unit he was attached to (US Army) were not getting MC since they were leaving soon, but the inbound unit would have full MC.

Needless to say, the MC uni’s were turned in later unworn and brand new. No, I am not exaggerating…Money to freaking burn. What a waste of gear
