The number of McConnell’s specific DeceptiCon caucus no longer running for re-election is a key indicator the McConnell crew know the filibuster is about to end. They are all pre-positioning for that result. Do not think it will not happen, because the odds are the filibuster is about to end.
In order to give the appearance of his opposition to this move, despite his years of working earnestly toward it, McConnell will exit very soon after the filibuster is eliminated. He will then blame the elimination of the filibuster as the excuse for his departure. This is the Machiavellian way he operates.
The Dems learned from the first two years of the Obama administration. They know the possibility of fixing another election without the Rona would be impossible, so they are ensuring the next election will truly be a sham.
When republicans controlled the House and Senate by much wider margins than democrats do today, McConnell and Ryan used the threat of a senate democrat filibuster on legislation as a guise to thwart Trump’s agenda. Democrat filibuster was like a shield for RINOs to hide behind. Trump said countless times that if democrats were to gain control they would end the filibuster.

I think we the people need to look beyond what you see happening between republicans and democrats in front of the tv cameras. It seems to me that politicians on both sides of the isle are going from a script when it comes to what they put out to us while behind the scenes they are working together to change this country from what it is suppose to be. It seemed to me that the script was blatantly obvious the day after they had Trump out of office. Right back to it with republicans starting with ohh poor pitiful us, look at what the evil democrats are doing, you need to give us power and we will take care of things if you give us the power… but they never follow through when they have the power to do so, ex: obammercare. They never do anything to roll back the socialist agenda when they have the ability to do so, they just move it forward at a slower pace to make it look like they are doing something. Really. I, along with other members, said it here last year that if the ComDems took control of Congress and the Presidency they would change the rules to ensure they stay in power indefinitely. And then they will ram their communist agenda down the throats of the American people.
What kind of judges though? Look how 2 of the 3 Justices that Trump put on the SCOTUS have acted? Gorsuch seems a solid pick, but Kavanaugh and ACB have proven to be less than Constitutionalists. What does this mean for all the Federal Court Justices that Trump placed?
Not ‘just’ SCOTUS (and ACB has not done enough to show any trend, one way or the other); as you point out, the federal judgeships across the country. His appointments have ‘reversed’ the trend of the Obama administration, and >50% have pretty solid creds for conservative decisions. They may not all be Clarence Thomas, but there enough like him that I think his shaping the judiciary will put up enough speedbumps to retard a Biden-Schumer-Pelosi free-for-all.

How many people know that The word ‘democracy’ isn’t included in the US constitution? Obviously voting for our leaders is important, but it is a way to keep govt from being captured and then used By one side, instead the Dems are bootstrapping themselves into power.
I don’t think this is going to happen, in fact I predict Manchin will leave the democrat party and either become a Republican or independent (and caucus with republicans) by mid year. If you look at his positions he is conservative on more issues than not, he represents the old blue collar working class democrat in an era where democrats represent the wealthy and poor but not working class. He also barely won his re-election last time, he’s the last statewide elected dem in office in deep red WV and I have no doubt he wants to get re-elected. Look at what Jim Jeffords did 20 years ago, shoe is on the other foot now. Manchin does not support these insane ideas the Dems have, he’s being bullied publicly by his own party. Because he has always been a democrat, I believe he wants to stay a democrat but Biden/Schumer/Pelosi are making it harder and harder for him to stay a democrat everyday. My best guess is he is just starting to contemplate actually making that move.

Manchin may do just what you predict is possible. With that said, there are 20 rinos in the Senate that are part of the Uniparty with 7 not seeking re-election of expected to leave office before their term is completed (Cocaine Mitch). I can see some voting for legislation that the marxist left puts forth.
