Presidential Thread 2016

Even if there is an election, it’ll be in name only…The United States is now home to some twenty-thirty million illegal alien Hispanics, some well placed individuals believe the true number around the forty million mark. About a third of them just voted last night, all of them will be voting come the 2014 midterm election cycle.

Checkmate…

Unfortunately, all the chess pieces are in exactly in the same places as they were pre-election. I doubt if anything will be accomplished in the next four years, accept accelerated unemployment, poverty and more people added to the welfare rolls (Cloward-Piven strategy). We have a better chance at a Reset in 2016, IF the republicans choose a better candidate to run and can adapt. Hell, we have more than enough like minded people in the US to invade Cuba, then evict the Communist to this country, and have our own bastion of freedom in the Caribbean (wishful thinking I know…)

I don’t know about that, the congress is controlled by a party whose brand is completely trashed. They are going to be looking hard at what just took place, they are going to conclude that they need to move left to secure their seats, if thats the case, and I feel reasonablly confident that it is, they are going to give Obama everything he wants in an attempt at appearing bipartisan.

Everything will be in play, folks are about to be delivered a hard lesson on political pragmatism, those republicans under the leadership of John Bohner are going to lurch solidly to left of center.

After all, elections have consequences…

The tenor of the board totally has me reminiscing about the kind posts to be read on DUh circa W’s election and reelection…

:sarcastic:

The Republican party with shape up, I think and possibly move in a more rightwing direction, along with changing the way the word things even more to distance themselves from traditional conservatism. I think we’ll see a more Libertarian approach, because the Republican party is sick and tired of looking like the bad guy and losing elections.

Bush made them look bad, Obama’s speeches and hustling has made the majority of Republicans look like warmongering dicks because face it: Obama knows how to talk to people, and most Republicans don’t.

I think we’ll have a much better candidate next election, and with a strengthening Republican party, along with more Republican voters than I recall ever seeing before. I think things can move in the right direction.

Expect the Obama/Biden machine to maintain the political/fiscal status quo, while the Republicans shape up and make them out to be even worse than Jimmy Carter, meanwhile unemployment will hit the 12% mark and people will realize that welfare needs to be revised, ObamaCare needs to go away, the military industrial complex is a valid market that strengthens the country and has done so in the past, and to make matters even more lop sided, the Republicans will probably nominate Paul Ryan as president or something to bring back a white Christian guy, and hit younger voters because he’s closeer to Obama’s age.

That wasn’t a perfect post, and I’ll amend it later, but that’s the gist of it.

And while I’m at it.

I don’t think Obama will directly attack the 2A, partially because he has the majority of the country looking at him with a critical eye now. Most Americans know what a damning situation we’re in, and he’s gonna be in a tight spot to worry about shit that’s important. Gun control isn’t an important issue to most of the country. The fiscal cliff, and unemployment rate is. If he goes through ass backwards measures to attack the 2A, he’ll have no support in Congress OR Senate, I think.

Executive Orders wouldn’t make it much farther I think.

I agree, Obombo is’nt going to do much with the 2A for the moment… He’s got the same full plate as he’s had all year…Syria is still fighting, Iran is still building a nuke, the stock market dropped 312 points today, The E.U.'s ecomony is in the shitter and getting worse, and will at some point begin to drag us down with them,(if it hasn’t started already) and for the icing on the cake Moody’s made a statement today, telling the POTUS, he is’nt getting a “honeymoon”, and if the fiscal cliff is’nt resolved by the end of the year, they will downgrade the U.S.'s credit rating…it’s already AAA…if we were to go to down to say, AA, That puts us just a few points above junk status…So, no I don’t think a AWB or any 2A issues are going to be coming up…at least not for awhile…So, if anybody wants, or needs anything this is your chance…now is the time…

If he wants instant stimulus, just say he is proposing an AWB about every few months.

I have no idea who the GOP runs…Rubio? That would help worth the Hispanic vote

I can say whoever it is needs to shit the fuck up about reproductive rights…women are the biggest group of voters that the GOP regularly gets their ass Kicked by…if Romney had swayed the female vote 2% points he probably would have won…someone go kick Murdouck in the nuts for his rape comment

I believe Hilary will run in 2016, and Obama will stump for her to pay back Bill for stumping so hard for him

And she will be a very formidable candidate, so the GOP better get its shit together

It is sad to think that for the Republican party to be in the “right” again, It has to move its views more toward the center based on how the populace of this country votes. Too bad it isn’t the other way around. That is more of what I would like to see but I doubt it will happen.

I mentioned this in another thread and people said she was too old to give it a run. She will probably stay on as SOS. Even then…God help us.

You know, there’s alot of truth in that statement…

Conservatives are supposed to be the parents holding back the(progressives) kid from going buckwild in toys-r-us. They cant have the whole store, but rather one toy every once and a while, after careful consideration.

Things like the failed war on drugs, gay marriage, etc, are non issues.

Rubio/Love… tie up the latino/black/man/woman/conservative/catholic/morman/ voters into one nice neat package.

The GOP had better start putting in candidates from their pool of Govenors or possibly experienced Senators. Congresscritters need not apply! Nobody is going to win national office with a resume from the House of Representatives - end of story.

In retrospect, Romney made a mistake in picking Ryan. After all, he had never run for office outside of his district, and could not deliver WI as an alternatve route to 270 electorial delegates. Rubio would have been the better choice since he could secure FL and siphon some Hispanic voters. Eight years as VP would have been perfect for Rubio’s 2016 ambitions.

Love is a nice person. But jumping from Mayor of a small town to VP is a big step and not one that would be successful.

It would be Palin 10x over.

Nice thought though.

I would bet that the GOP candidate in 2016 is not someone we have thought of and is not on anyone’s radar right now (at lest publicly).

It would be cool if that someone were actually a libertarian. Maybe by then if we don’t already have coronations instead of elections, voting libertarian might be the only logical choice.

Also, I saw this floating around the Internet today:

Clearly it’s a reference to CA GOP, but it probably applies to the GOP as a whole. And yes, CA now has a Dem Supermajority in its state legislature.

Remember, perception is reality. If the GOP doesn’t keep its mouth shut about certain issues, it’s going tits up. A store that sells things that no one wants to buy won’t make any money, you know?

I’ve thought that was a good idea since I looked up who Rubio was.

IF these United States avoid a hyperinflationary depression:

I predict the GOP won’t change up their tactics one bit. They said as much when they changed the nomination rules at the convention. “Delegates be damned, we’ll nominate our country club Rino cronies” Screw the GOP. They’re the walking dead.

I can’t say I felt sorry for the GOP last night.

The picture of the elephant I posted…I think they should have drawn it depicting the elephant in the act of shooting itself in the foot.
