If the image is bigger than 1920 pixels, then it’ll ask your browser to resize the image. My guess is that your browser and/or device are too slow, or otherwise causing the image not to be resized on your side. There’s also a 100MB max image size.
As a test, I upped the max image size to 5000 pixels. Can you try again and see if it works now (and send me a link if it does)? If it does then we can decide about whether to keep the larger max size, or to tell people to upload smaller images.
Some other things that might help are, can you tell me what browser and device you’re using and the type and size of the image? It’s possible that it’s due to a browser plugin, so if you can think of one that might cause such a problem, please mention that.
The image lists as being 3.6MB on disk & 3264 x 1868 pixels when brought up in MS Paiint. I am using Mozilla Firefox browser on Win 10 Pro. It still just says “processing upload” when I try to load this image. I don’t think it’s a speed issue as I have a 1G connection (800mbs upload).
I think I’ve got my MCX Spear in it’s “final” form, at least until I SBR/Suppress it. Still might add a One Hundred Concepts ARD to the Vortex, but that’s it. Really liking this set up, and it proved pretty versatile during deer season last week.
I’ve gone into it more in the my SIG MCX Spear First Impressions thread, but my first Spear had harsher recoil than my second one does. Probably something to do with the second one actually working properly. In terms of real world use, on a deer drive last week, I put three rounds out of four into Bambi’s mom in a few seconds, and never really noticed the recoil at all. The weight of the gun undoubtedly helps in that regard.
Nope, got my own. The original plan was “just like Grandpa and Uncle Frank’s GI’s but longer and with beefier chamber,” then my gal put her foot down more recently about “if you’re gonna make this thing a lifetime’s gunsmithing work and expect me to fight with the paperwork on it after you’re gone it better be a work of ART.”
So, from there I dusted off a design study I had worked up for a writer friend. Overall finishing plan is a dark metallic or pearl teal, with hard-chrome slide flats and mirror-polished stainless controls.
Look closer at the radius cuts between the AMT and this thing… Tyler at Fusion did this as a “special request” to keep a little more weight in the slide and help tame recoil. Though it turns out that the “short radius longslide” had been done before in the '90s…
Here again, we see some differences and not just that “Silver Heat” (one half of two prop-gun pairs from The Shadow, 1994) is a LAR Grizzly. SH has a longer dustcover which adds still more forward weight; I was trying for something “happy medium” between if Silver Heat had been built as a .45ACP 1911 and the traditional AMT “long radius short dustcover.”
