We have Battery! No further though, and still needs the rubber mallet to get it disassembled again afterward…
No fresh pic but build update: slide moves mostly fine, occasional bind at extreme rear of travel that needs the mallet. Barrel moves fully from linkup to linkdown, aleit with a touch more friction than I’d like. Next problems are polish slide interior, finish dressing the slide lugs and figure out how I’m gonna beat the link pin into its hole. (I’m using a dowel rod as a temp for testing.)
No pic, but fresh update. Full range of motion in both slide travel and barrel linkup, occasional binding at extreme rear of slide travel. Barrel sometimes binding and refusing to unlock and link-down assembled despite freely dropping out of linkup unsupported when slide and frame are separated.
Tipton snapcaps feed just fine consistently; Gold Dots intermittently from an old Kimber Kimpro but simply will not feed from my Wilson ETM ten-rounders. So still some debugging to do.
Another no-pic update, the Big Bitch is back to slide 1/2" forward of Battery, but now it’s because there’s about 1/64" of S7 tool steel that needs to be filed off the extractor in the way.
Damn, now I’m glad I couldn’t get all the parts both made out of S7 AND beefed up to Kuhnhausen Spec as I originally wanted… this big girl already outweighs 5" Old Ugly with a 10rd maximum load, and that’s still with about half her guts yet to be installed!
Just to drop another no-pic update, the monster successfully hand-cycled for the first time this weekend after a 1/8" nose-job on her extractor. Need to take her down again, retune the center leaf on the sear spring and polish the magwell insides til mags drop free.
After tax time, next problem will be the ignition system.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but images don’t seem to post anymore I put in the link and then it just tells me that it can’t do it.

Is that just doing a file upload? I suppose that’s one way, I’ve just been using URLs forever and find it second nature.
I’m simply dragging a photo with the mouse pointer and dropping it in a post.
In the first few weeks of the new M4C forum, links from photo hosts would not display the photo in the post. That appears to have been resolved a while ago.
