Out of the long GD live or die thread, came an idea for members to nominate a “Mentor” to help forum members with problems (gun related) and with a better understanding of what M4C is about (our purpose, goals, etc). Many times we get a new member that just doesn’t get what we are about and why we do what we do.
The way this will work is that you can nominate a forum member (that is not a mod, staff, dealer, IP or SME) to be a Mentor. After a couple days, we will take the nominees and put them up for vote. The ones that receive the most votes (and meet Staff’s approval) will receive a new title and position (if they are interested).
Characteristics that should be considered when nominating someone:
Technically sound with many different weapon platforms.
LOL, ya, my luck, I would have to “mentor” folks that loved Glocks.
You should hear me at the pistol classes I teach every month. If asked which pistol they should buy to replace their Ruger P89, my response is always Glock and M&P.
This would describe Skintop911. He has helped me with accurate and quality information on numerous occasions. His remarks are always well considered and easy to understand. He has an extensive background on multiple platforms. Does not waste time with idle chatter.
I think he is one of the few people on the forum who doesn’t have “Dealer/Industry Professional/SME” etc that I will take the time to read his post in entirety.
