Streamlight Stinger HPL
Purchased 2017. By far the most useful flashlight I have ever owned. Always fully charged and right where it’s supposed to be when the wife or I need it. The box included a mountable wall cradle charger and 12v for the car. The flashlight and wall charger have proved so useful that if something were to happen to it I’d immediately replace with same.
I’ve kept all my online order confirmations in e-mail folders. It’s kinda fun to look back.
I used to carry the Streamlight Stylus Pro everyday and for a flashlight only a little bigger than an ink pen it puts out a heck of a lot of light.
Extreamly helpful in tight spaces .
Streamlight microstream usb, but get the coyote brown one if you want bright first and dim on second press. Coyote is the only one that is bright first, all the others are dim first.
Flashlights have came so far in the past 20 years. I used to keep one of those huge 6-D cell Maglites by the door. Now that thing gets eclipsed by a rechargeable Streamlight the size of a cigar.
You know I don’t think the attraction to Law Enforcement and the Old Six “D” Cell was necassarily about what a great flashlight they were I imagine they were more impressed by the damn thing being half as long as a baseball bat and twice the weight of the “Billy Club” they just took from them.

Streamligjt Protac 1L-1AA.
Carry it every day. Have shot with it at night as well. Very handy, bright enough, will clip anywhere, etc. Me and the HH6 each have one.

I have a lot of Streamlight lights and all are excellent, as are the few Surefire and somE off brands I’ve bought like the Thorfire I bought and carried for years that always and still works.
These days my pocket light is a single AA battery Fenix E21. It’s got a cracked lens and the black coating is worn in areas but it still works great. I think it’s time to replace it, and it will get a fresh battery and new assignment in a range bag or vehicle bag as yet another spare….
Actually, I think I’ll give this Streamlight a try…
Just a helpful hint, if you’re not going to use your Stylus Pro for a while, it is always best to Find that sweet spot where you unscrew the cap until there is not possible connection to the battery, but the cap is still secure.
I’ve got batteries that have lasted a year like that.
I been using a microstream for years. Not bad for a pocket sized light. Been left in a snow bank for months, still worked. Been ran over with a lawn mower, it still worked. Streamlight fixed it for free. Can beat them for 35 bucks.
Another vote for the Streamlight Pro Tac.. Reasonably inexpensive, durable, and I like being able to feed it 123s or AAs at my convenience. Fits really comfortably clipped in my front pocket alongside my edc folder.
Yea…I have been told that some guys didn’t put batteries in them, but filled them with lead shot instead. That‘ll leave a mark.
20 years ago, I used to fly in the service with a Surefire 6P that I think was 120 lumens, and I remember that over the Streamlight Sidewinder that the Marines were issued with only 55 lumens, and how impressive 120 lumens. Now when I’m on a jobsite, I have a $10-$12 Harbor Freight light that gives me 800 lumens and is smaller and uses my phone charger in my truck to recharge. It does kind of amaze me how far they’ve come and how good you can get for cheap.

Everyday, always on me flashlight? I picked up a few of these Olight keychain lights when they were “free” with $5 shipping several years ago. It is bright enough to light up a room and the charge lasts a long time. Of course I have much better lights at home and in my truck but this little light gets the most usage since it is always with me.
I need to check those out. Been meaning to grab a HF weapon light to play with too.
Their honestly decent for what they are, my brother-in-law has put them on his home defense guns (a Canik Pistol, and a Marlin Lever gun). I have, Surefire, Arisaka, Modlite on my weapons, but a HF light for customer sites, or for around the house or stashed in my truck are awesome and if I lose or break one, I’m out $10-$30. I’m all for spending money where you should, but also just a cheap easy and effective tool that works, more power to you
Yes. I was thinking it’d make a good light for my holsters that are made for my TLR-1HL light. I think the HF light is cloned off of the TLR-1’s shape.
