Made a Dentist Appointment in to a Sam’s Club Run, they had a rechargeable 1800 Lumen Flashlight for $22.00.
Any more Lumens and it doubles as a Toaster Oven.

The Surefires have geen good for me. I still have an old 6P on my LMT AR, wife has my old Executive, and I am using my old Fury that’s beat to shit. I had the switch go out on the Fury and they fixed it in a hurry.
This is one of the lights I have (I have an older model). Really nice with 160Kcd of throw. NIce UI too. Can use 2 different types of rechargeable batteries 18350 or 18650. If you want it use a 21700, that is an option you can pick. Looks like there is 3 left.
Yeah the 6P clones are what I have mostly. Solarforce (no longer around). The problem with the lights evolved after those is they all have some idiotic retarded flash modes, etc. I don’t need a fucking toy. I want a good light that goes ON and OFF.
I have an old 6p mounted in a 1 inch ring on my Sionics rifle and a 6z on my nightstand. Both have Malkoff lamps in them which is an awesome upgrade to the original lamps.
I have a malkoff scout thing on my BCM ELW Keymod. I wonder where my 6z went.
My weaponlight. A modded S200C2

Those work well stuck in a VTAC mount(seems like i modified the shim)
Or in other ring mounts with DIY shim.
Decided to try one after noticing Frank Proctor sold a mount for the predecessor CR123 only version.
I still run some of those GearSector 6p light mounts that @JTrusty used to make/sell.
120 lumens was the upgrade for the 6P from the original 60ish back in the 90s.
The rechargeable battery for the 6P was about the length of 3 CR123 batteries and required a spacer to extend the body length. Best I can recall the run time was not impressive and output may have been less than using the stock setup 2x 123’s.
The biggest plus I can recall with the first LED light (seems like it was a Brinkman) i bought was being more durable than most krypton or xenon bulbs.
I remember taking a break in the Motor Pool Smoking Area (Yes we had those in Baghdad) and watching a Supply Sergeant dump a Milk Crate of those Surefires in the trash.
He didn’t swap any parts around to get one to work, he didn’t give two damns just trashed them all and in an Engineer Brigade too.
As a former “Don Corleone” of the E-4 Mafia I was itching to dig in ther and end up with a half dozen working flashlights, but some Buster had just got caught with 50 M4 Mags in his luggage.
Same here.
Novatac/Spa defense had a neat single cell 123 light that my only gripe was having high/low/strobe options that had to be cycled through
Or at least I think mine was stuck with all 3. Allegedly some could be programmed, like the Ten Tap on a Streamlight, but the Novatac/Spa was 250 taps
. I think i got 250 in a few times, but nothing changed.
Yeah. I have one of the Streamlight Rail 2 WMLs. I never figured out what that 10 tap was. I only activated the stupid strobe one time. But that would be a real problem if you were actually dealing with a home threat and didn’t want the discotech nonsense going off at a bad time.
It would be kind of Funny if thestrobe went off and Intruder stopped for a second and did “The Hustle” before you capped him.
Dude trying to fight his obsessive compulsive disorder lol
I could make a joke about tossing a basketball at the intruder, but that would be uncalled for.

That’s interesting, I didn’t know that. I just remember one of the guys I admired in flight crew had one and we used it on a cold desert night once and I could actually see verse the little crappy sidewinder they issued us. I remember going out to the PX and buying one right after that, even though it was over $100 back in 2008 which was a ton of beer money even in expensive San Diego. It put a lot of trust in Surefire, then I had issues with my 600 lumen Scout and they replaced it and told me not to use CLP to clean the lens. I sold it because an HLX from Streamlight was cheaper, but my have since gone back to Surefire on my main squeeze rifle and pistol
I still have some old incandescent lights around. Turn one of those things on and WOW! What a joke.
