Phoenix officer indicating she was needing to meet a dui quota while falsely arresting her chosen victim.
Not sure what motivation Georgia le have for boosting their stats by arresting sober drivers, but they screwed over 700 sober drivers in 2025. If it is like Tennessee(which has a quota) that figure is likely to increase as more victims come forward.
QI is the problem, all the way from the scum cop who pushes it, all the way up to the DA and even the judge who decides against the actually-sober victim. The arrogant head of TNās State Police should have been fired, charged, and lose his pension. Then all the way down the chain (since shit supposedly rolls downhill), from the judge, to the DA, to the dirty cop who first instigated the incident. If I had my way thereād be quite a few job openings in the TSP, state/local judiciary, and the prosecuting attorneyās offices.
Iām just going to go out there on a limb and say these municipalities are way pointed statisticly in the wrong direction. Fewer People are drinking that means the likelyhood of false DUI events will go up even if there is no outside pressures on the numbers.
Now, if you donāt understand that fewer People are drinking and you are in the upper echelons of Law Enforcement, youāre simply going to insisit that those lazy donut eating bastards are all sleeping on duty. Youāll say THE NUMBERS DONT LIE !
Well I would say you just have to keep suing everyone that takes part in these shenanigans until someone wakes up and understands far fewer People drinking means fewer DUIās.
Locally our Law Enforcement and MADD have shut down a number of local night spots and even more have slowly slipped away because fewer People are drinking.
Iām not talking just rural Gin Mills along the back roads either, entire Live Music venues and dance halls have been shut down. Living next to Ft. Hood I can assure the Military Club system is also on itās last legs.
Now we still have way too many DUIās, but for the most part the people you would think, young people who were twenty years ago a disproportionally large numbers on DUIās are way down. The hardcore Alcoholics 40 and up and illeagle Aliens are the largest numbers
On the MADD mention, this eliteās 2001 arrest and conviction came via drinking at a MADD event where attendees received 2 drink tickets to demonstrate responsible drinking which is hilarious considering MADD always lobbying for lower BAC levels and 2 drinks at the time would have put most women and a lot of men over the 0.08 limit MADD had gotten passed.
āPendleton has been convicted twice for drunken driving, in 2013 and in 2001 after leaving an event for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.ā
The middle age drunk driver has been a thing here in KY for awhile which is much different than the .gov/mass media campaign claims of younger drink drivers.
Havenāt checked in awhile, but at one timr the dui arrest numbers here were lowest for the 16-25 age group, started ramping up 26-35 and stayed at roughly the same highest numbers for the 36-45, 46-55, and 56-65 brackets. If i remember correctly, the numbers only fell below the 16-25 bracket with the 76-85 bracket.
This one might be a one off instead of meeting a quota. Still there is the issue that so far it hasnāt been handled in a manner that indicates the powers that be have a major problem with him lying which is a fairly widespread issue
One of the arresting officers was heard on tape saying how glad he was that he finally got a DUI, he was afraid they were going to throw him off the squad.
As a result She missed her Hoineymoon, missed some Cancer treatments and still has issues with licence and insurance.
You know when you blow zero in the field, then blow anopther zero at the Station, why would you lock this person up?, Yeah take everyones QI on that one please.
Blood testā¦.if that comes up negative then their āofficer intuitionā aināt worth shit. Even the blood test I have issues with, as it (for instance) can detect weed use out to 30 days, and Iām sure much past that nowadays.
Example: chick burns a joint on Saturday night. She is pulled over on Tuesday night for whatever reason. Comes down to a blood test because the breathalyzer registered ZERO. Woohoo, sheās hot for pot and must obviously be the reason why the āofficer intuitionā meter got pegged. Sheās not stoned, not drunk, and no narcs onboard. Yet her blood tells a tale on her days old and is taken for gospel.
I donāt drink anymore, but I promise you I might look pretty drunk getting out of my Truck and Iāve got TBI so bad my pupils might force my eyeballs to pop out at you if you shine a light in them.
Knoxville Police fabricated evidence. The problem is She spent three decades with the FBI and clearly hadnāt been drinking, so She decides to fight it.
I worked over a year on a drunk driver task force, a long time ago.
It put a lot of money in my pocket with almost 5 days a week in court. Working 8pm to 4 am, I would get 2 or 3 drunks a night. I am talking people that couldnāt track in their lane, failed all or most of the sobriety tests and then blew well over the legal limit.
I also ran into people that had not been drinking but due to age or fatigue should not have been driving.
If the person blew below the limit, I would usually try to get a family member to come and get them. It made no sense to me to jam them up. It was like fishing throw the small fish back and take the whoppers home or in this case jail.
With in the first 3 weeks it got to the point that defense lawyers understood stipulate to the facts of the case and the punishment from the judge was less. Make the case go to trial and the judge would give the normal punishment. The judge had to deal with an uptick in court cases from the task force, we had 3 or 4 guys per precinct on the task force. Most of us were SWAT guys that needed to work traffic when we were not doing SWAT stuff. I happened to be in the headquarters of Special Ops when I heard about the task force and wanted in . My friend asks why . I told him dummy mandatory court on every one to get, that is 4 hours overtime.
Any law enforcement officer that violates the trust of the public, by putting innocent people in jail needs to go to prison in general population for 6 months. The bad seeds will learn from the example of the turd that went to prison.
I was driving home with a friend one time fomr an IDPA Match, he has one of those āLiftedā Trucks thatās a PITA to get in and out of, anyway the Guy behind us was driving a little squirrely .
My Friend slowed down and the Guy behind us as heās passing us has a Water Glass, a bottle of Johnny Walker, an Ice Bucket and a bottle of soda water and he looks like he is old enough to have went to HS with Methuselah.
It was the Johnny Walker express at 10:00 Am on a Saturday in my Hometown.
IIRC, it seems like this discussion came up before.
In any event, in recent years reportedly 2% of all DUI arrests here in Tennessee tested negative for alcohol/drugs, at least for whatever theyāre testing for. Whether that 2% represents driving impairment due to sleep, prescription drugs not tested for or poor field testing/judgement by the officer⦠duknow.
The notion that 98% testing positive instead of 100% is somehow an indicator of a problem of improper field sobriety judgement by law enforcement that needs fixing by eliminating QI⦠LOL!
Yes and if you ask them, there dogs are 98% accurate too, but we all know that is BS. My new poliucy is if you knowingly lie to a US Citizen, you lose your job and your retirement and need to be picking up trash along an Inter-State.
In addition to being ok with bogus dui arrests, phil supports the illinois trooper using the sham to further harm his victim by stealing their belongings also.
Further, philās position on this(apparently inspired by the head of the THP and TN state gov as a whole) is more at home in the stalinist ussr of the past than the USA.
āYour constitutional rights mean a little less than absolutely nothing on our roads and definitely wonāt save you from a pair of handcuffs and temporary residency in one of our jail cells.ā Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Chief matt perry,
If youāve got even mild TBI, the results of your field sobriety test may be affected, I believe the responce to a light may make your pupils react differently perhaps uneven reactions.
So if you have or think you have TBI make sure you say so loud and clear repeatedly during the process so it gets on tape.
