Sadly, looks like we need to start a thread on this atrocity. No hard facts yet on the shooter, but seems safe to say he was unhinged.

Three people are dead and at least five people were injured following an active shooter incident Saturday afternoon at a busy commercial area in Twin Falls, Idaho, a city spokesperson said.
“Tragically, there have been fatalities. We are currently working to notify next of kin, and additional details will be released when appropriate,” the police department said in a news release Saturday evening. “There is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.”
Police said they responded around 2:30 p.m. to reports of an active shooter at In-N-Out Burger on Blue Lakes Boulevard. The deadly shooting spree sent people fleeing and prompted lockdowns at nearby retail businesses.
n a statement, In-N-Out CEO Lynsi Snyder confirmed an associate was killed in the shooting.
“We lost one of our beautiful Associates tonight,” she shared in a post. “She was taking care of our most important asset — our Customers, and her life was taken by a disgusting human who doesn’t value the lives of others or his own.”
She said the suspect shot both on the property and off before taking his own life.

Very limited info out there but browsing the webs there are videos of a couple of armed citizens shooting back at the murderer. The shooter appears to be a short, light skinned male, like 5’6” or less. The authorities have not released any info on him yet, guess they got to get his social media scrubbed first.

Wow. Wouldn’t have expected that in Twin Falls. S#!t happens, though, and it happens all over. I’ve spent a fair bit of time in Twin. Done work in Twin Falls/Kimberly. If you have never been, it’s a pretty small community. Condolences to the families of the victims. Best wishes to the injured. All my best to the town as a whole.
I can’t help but think of the town cemetery there. It is a sad thought now. I had always loved the Twin cemetery. They have playground equipment there. Not right among the graves or anything, but just a playground right there in the cemetery. Liked the idea of the departed being entertained by playing children. Couldn’t help but think about ghosts playing on it either. This dampens that memory. Sad.
It apeared a “good guy” grabbed a suppressed pistol from his trunk and engaged the bad guy.
He gets return fire (impacts a wall behind him) and he jumps. But he stands and delivers again only to get more return fire. Then he bolts.
That’s what it looked like in the video i saw.
- Did he hit the bad guy? Whether he did or not, he was still getting return fire
- Standing there for that long isn’t desirable.
A person with a phone filmed him. That person could’ve easily mistaken him for the bad guy & shot at him. (Or a responding LEO)
If one is considering engaging a wild shooter you need to engage early, get hits, then put your gun away and find cover before someone else or LEO shoots at you. (Unless continuing is truly your best chance to survive/save loved ones)

Curious, when was the last time you engaged an active shooter? Maybe you are current/former LEO/.mil or possess other extensive experience or training? Just asking.
I saw a Facebook post on some other site saying it was NOT the Jordan fella.
Nothing confirmed either way.

They released the killer’s name today; they had to wait long enough to scrub his social media. So more than likely we will only ever know is his name.
Negative. Unless simunitions in formal active shooter training count… lol.

Oh, i have done simunitions. A very long time ago. 
And paintball many times. Also a long time ago.
My first simunitions was so intense for a young man i essentially forgot to breath enough before contact was even made. Massive anxiety, chest hurts, might even pass out! I’m not breathing! Must! Breathe!
The World around us was a lot safer when every truck in the Parking Lot had a shot gun and a deer rifle in the rear window gun rack.
If this happended in 1968 you would have had so many people armed and ready to shoot that Fool that you could have sold tickets.

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Chad Williams. Officers discovered the suspect’s body in the vicinity of the restaurant. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Officials confirmed they believe Williams was a lone actor, noting that his family has provided full cooperation throughout the investigation.
