If it came down to 3 handguns???

The three I’d have to keep that are in my stable:

1911
G19
454 Casull

The first two are for two legged problems, the latter for big four legged things I’d like to eat or prevent from eating me.

5" 1911. Does anything more need to be said?

Glock 26. More concealable than a 19, and you have the 1911 if you need a full-size pistol.

Browning Buck Mark. (Or your favorite .22LR pistol/revolver.) Cheap practice/plinking.

IMHO, of course.

M&P 40 - my new favorite.

G27 - IWB CC.

S&W Model 60 - backup and fannypack or dayplanner CC.

M&P45 loaded with 230gr Ranger Ts

M&P9 stoked with 147gr Ranger Ts

Mod 586 charged with 180gr Partition Golds

I am the thesaurus, not the walrus.

This is a good question…I’d go with XD45 (service model) Beretta M9, S&W 629 (with powerport) To answer another poster, Why a 9mm?? Well, I figure in a SHTF situation, 9mm is probably going to be the most common round you’ll run across, Police depts all over the country use it, The Military has been using for years, it’s a standard NATO caliber, If anything you’d have a better chance of finding ammo for it over any other handgun caliber, and it’ll do the job provided you do your part.

The top three that I own and wouldn’t part with:
[ol]
[li]Glock 19
[/li][li]Wilson Combat 1911 “Pro Bobtail” commander
[/li][li]S&W #442 J-Frame
[/li][/ol]

  1. S&W Sigma
  2. Kel tec P3AT
  3. A shiney chromed .38 super 1911!

:stuck_out_tongue: You gotta be yanking us right???

I’d trade the .38 super for a Carbon-15 pistol with a Tru-Glow 2x RDS

  1. Glock 26 for daily carry w/Glock +2 base

  2. Glock 19 - best all around gun in the world! IMHO

  3. Glock 20 for really big bad guys and for hunting

My wife likes
38 ladysmith
1911 fullsize
3"S&W 629 which see can get quarter size groups at 18yard
 I hide all her guns when shes mad at me

S&W 642
Glock 17
Browning Buckmark

Commander size 1911 - Les Baer Concept VIII
357 Mag Revolver - S&W 686
22 pistol - S&W 2206TGT or a Model 41

I thought about the Carbon 15 pistol, but I didn’t think that’s what the author was looking for.

9mm Browning High Power.

.40 caliber Browning High Power.

M1911 .45 Auto.

My 3 would be:
Two S&W J frames
1 340PD for pocket conceal carry
1 M60 with 3 inch barrel for conceal carry & woods gun
1 CZ SP01 9mm for when a high capicity non-conceal carry gun might be needed

Only 3?

Glock 35, 23, 27.

I don’t own any of them, but since you limited me…

Alternately, Glock 20, 23, and 26.

G27
G21SF
Kimber Ultra CDP Custom

I see the G19 on a lot of peoples list, why? Just a few simple facts that make this such a great gun?

Short answer: Small enough to conceal, big enough to be “shootable”, exceptional reliability, and excellent magazine capacity for the size.

My list:
G34
G19 (or G17 w/ grip chop for G19 mags)
G26

Not a very exciting list but it’d cover my bases.

I’m done for now
