Glock made the biggest mistake ever. They took the path of cowards and bitches. Many people have criticized my stand against Glock for caving in to the marxist in the USA,
I wasn’t wrong, the left now smells blood in the water and they now are going full Sherman on the south ,
Connecticut is trying redefine Glock pistols as a machine gun. Gun makers, gun owners must understand this is a war to the death. Just go on the net and find videos of the people in Iran demonstrating against the junta and watch them get shot at by IRGC. That is us in the USA if we ever give up our guns
I said i was boycotting Glock as well, But my LGS has a G26 gen 5, none V. I said screw it and bought it. They also have a G30, but I hate the 45 AARP. but they might be going up in value. and I been wanting a compact 10MM, and I could convert the G30 to 10mm.
I shoot Shadow Systems guns, after leaving Glocks in 2022, after being on the platform since ‘99.
Shadow Systems work just fine, just follow the recommended factory break in of 200 rounds of quality ammo. I recommend 124 grain from the major manufacturers. Btw mine have been utterly reliable using PMags, with ZERO issues.
I might add that comparing Shadow Systems to a Glock is like comparing a bone stock Colt Government Model 1911 to a Springfield Armory TRP Operator 1911. They share operating systems, that’s about it.
When did the Gen 3s come out? I guess they wanted to discontinue the Gen 3s for a while, but kept making them to sell to and help Glock owners in CA. If they cannot sell them in CA anymore…. It’s a business decision at that point.
My kid has a G34 equivalent Shadow Systems. The problem with Shadow Systems is they don’t make them in Men’s calibers. Fucking annoying. I have a shelf full of bitch 9mms that never get shot anymore.
Its not just the 40 short and weak guys, the 45 aarp guys are the way. Then in the hunters circle, it gets even weirder. I have a life long friend that foams at the mouth because I use a 6.5 creedmoor for white tail. He thinks i need a 30-06 or more. ITs sooo funny. I have taken deer with a 22mag (yes, legal in my state, 9mm, 40 S&W, 45ACP (all from rifles) and yet people think you need a magnum.
The biggest deer i ever shot was with a 22mag while small game hunting, the season over lap so i bring that. Walked up over a hill an a 198 lbs 8 pointer was right there. 2 shots and dropped him. if a 22mag can do that. deer caliber debates are obsolete.
I feel the same way about pistol calibers, they all suck. Why not have something that’s cheaper to shoot and holds more.
Yeah I’ve been there. I started out deer hunting for years with a .22-250, dropped them just fine. Always had these other guys using .300 Weatherby Magnums and whatnot that practically tore the deer in half though.
I bought a pristine “used” Remington 700 .270 for $300 in 1998 from a guy that bought it new, hunted one season, didn’t kill anything and decided he had to have a 300 Win Mag. For whitetail . I’ve still got that rifle and it killed tons of whitetail and still drives tacks.
Exactly, one of them hunts with a 300 mag, just not sure if its WSM, winmag, weatheryby or what ever 300 mags there are. He has only every shot one deer since we starting hunting at 18. I get 1-2 deer every year since 2006. He still thinks you need a magnum after showing him the damage from smaller calibers. I just got a 30-30 last year for christmas, plan on using that until I can not hunt anymore.
We want the bullets to stop them as quickly as possible.
If i could shoot the bad guy from a concealed position in the heart or head with a steadied .22 mag rifle with an optic while he’s relaxed picking berries like a hunter does I’d definitely choose that.
Also, bringing up cartridges like 6.5, .308, etc. in a thread about pistols & pistol cartridges is dumb and disruptive.
You forgot the advantage of it being a snappier round slowing down follow up shots while proven to not have any real advantage ballistically with modern defense ammo.
