How not! To remove a URX2

Just out of curiosity, how did you get around not cutting up the gas tube?
I take it you knocked out the pin and snaked it out of there first…

That’s $300 he could have spent on beer and ammunition. I checked the Noveske website and it looks like the wrench is $15.

I like the photos of the specialty tools he used. Does he work on M1 Carbines? I need some work done.

I think its 75 bucks but may be mistaken

 “my friend”, right.

You hit it on the head with the funny comment. That’s the real point. “Are you not entertained!”

Pulled the tube through the upper.

There is no way I would have let a friend use my space or tools to bubba up a rail like that.

[QUOTE=rapomstage3;1729810]So my good buddy bought a Noveske nsr 13.5" rail and is very impatient to say the least. What happened in my basement last night is going to be considered blasphemy to most including myself. But… He’s my friend and this is what he wanted. See if this doesn’t make you cringe.

Does your “Buddy” live in the same house?

Is there a reason why the rail had to come off that night? I cannot imagine any.

He could have probably paid himself back the price of the NSR by selling the URX.

Oh well.

It really was my buddy. I have a Mod 1 and am not a fan of the nsr. Lets not get carried away with not letting him use my space and what not. He cant be reasoned with and I did think it made for an entertaining couple of hours. Just laugh and think when you feel impatient because you keep tracking a package, this just really cant be topped.

He probably didn’t even shoot it until after that Tuesday anyway.

Your correct he won’t, That’s what makes it even worse.

You should have taped it and put it on YouTube

Can we get a lock on this? Nothing good can come of this thread except to show some people have more money than sense as well as to show the gene pool still needs some cleansing.

Most of us would love to have the $600 the idiot threw away.

Thats a damn shame. I’ve been looking for a used URX2. Those legacy KAC SR15’s are rare and have increased in value. I bought mine @1750 and should have bought a bunch of them. Send me the front sight and the bottom of the URX2. I have the MOD1, Legacy,LW URX and the NSR13.5 and I always love to shoot the legacy for some reason.

Well I will give him some credit for his methodology, I mean seriously at least he didn’t pull out the dremel to cut up the rail!

I admit I laughed.I’m pretty impatient but nothing that stupid

Great. Now I’m going to have nightmares tonight. Thanks. Jerk…

Damn!!! That’s about all I can say!

I don’t see a problem. He wanted his new rail on now, mission accomplished. I have tossed every returnable beverage container I bring home in the trash since 2001. Like his cut up rail, I don’t want to waist time or energy redeeming them.
