How not! To remove a URX2

So my good buddy bought a Noveske nsr 13.5" rail and is very impatient to say the least. What happened in my basement last night is going to be considered blasphemy to most including myself. But… He’s my friend and this is what he wanted. See if this doesn’t make you cringe. BTW a local shop has the Urx wrench and would have taken it off on Tuesday. This was Saturday. Enjoy

All in all it actually turned out good because the Noveske is a breeze to install but the destruction of that Urx 2 makes me want to cry!

This is inspiring… next time I buy a new car, I’ll just drive my old one to the county dump.

Was he aware that he could have sold the damn thing for a few hundred bucks?

Wow…I can understand that some people have patience issues but I sure don’t understand throwing money away like that!

He was more than aware! I practically begged!

Words fail me here.

I think I’m going to be sick… Your friend just burned 300 bucks brother

It would have been faster with less work using a Sawzall:big_boss:

I hope he went out in the back yard and cranked off some rounds just to cap off the craziness. If you’re gonna go, go big.

It’s a free country to throw away perfectly good $$$ if you want…

But he’s an idiot IMO.

My eyes, My eyes!

Why did he change the muzzle device? GH

Some people should never be allowed sharp tools.

Reminds me of the dremel thread :suicide:

I have never been trolled this hard before. I see the pictures so I know this really did happen, I just can’t believe somebody over six would be so impulsive.

10/10

You posted this why?! But in all seriousness that was pure unadulterated idiocy. Please tell him I said so.

Must be nice to not be worried about money… shit…

It’s kind of a I can’t believe this is real thread. And for sure I will tell him.

The phrase, “More money than sense” comes to mind. It makes me laugh though.

Are those true blue, Made in USA, “Channellock” pliers, or some knock-off Chinese brand? If someone is going to go all Neandrathal on a fine piece of American Made machining, they might as well use the very best!
