So I built my Colt the way I liked it with a Noveske N4 barrel and a pinned Surefire FH556-212A (thanks Grant) and my Noveske N4 has a pinned AAC something or another. I wasn’t thinking that I’d have to use one of these for a Robin Sage exercise, but here I am. Anyone have a clue if there’s a BFA that will fit either of these? I talked to someone in the suppressor division at SF and it’s a no-go. They don’t make one. Not sure about AAC.
On a related note, it pains me to shoot blanks out of these guns. Will blanks cause any extra wear on an AR, other than being dirty? I don’t want to use my HD gun if it’s going to get torn up from the blanks.
The Pineland Resistance Front has to bring their own weapons with them because the country has suffered under years of UN Sanctions and Naval blockade.
Its been awhile since I did a RS, so Im kinda rusty on who the players are:D
I believe the red M16 and yellow M4 BFAs only fit the A2 flashhider. I had spoken with Surefire last year about fitting an M9 bayonet over their FH and they said it wouldn’t fit. Perhaps you can call them and see if they know of a BFA that is manufactured commercially that fits.
I have to get something by Wednesday and my local guy has Yugo underfolders for $499.00. Decent gun/price? Chrome lined barrel? What do I need to look out for? Who’s our resident AK guru? I don’t have the energy to start researching AKs.
Back on topic, I’m waiting to hear back from Smith Enterprises and posted in the AAC forum. I’m hoping I can get a BFA for one of the ARs. I’m not aware of any AK chest rigs in MultiCam.
DO NOT put a bfa on any weapon you value. Esp a DI gun.
Yugo AK’s are one of the few makes not chrome lined. You should be able to find a decent AK for 2-300. Make sure the muzzle matches the type BFA you will use. AKA make sure the AK has a standard threaded end and detent pin.
Your running high pressure unburnt powder (aka sandpapering) through your system. Clogging up your gas tube, etc. If you want to prematurely wear the crap out of it, ideal way. Nice to clean too.
Yep! I remember talking to guys I know who were in the Marines… They’d ditch those blanks by the handful when they could. But there was always some g00ber just getting on the trigger.
