Anyone got any recommendations for a place to eat on the strip? I would prefer a place that takes reservations.

I’ll go to the buffet and use the money I saved from not going to S&Ws and buy a new Colt
Morton’s is a good place to go.I have 2 kids and it was fine.Grant are you going to a UFC event this weekend?:D;)
For steak try Gallaher’s inside New York New York…
For sushi try Nabo’s inside the Hard Rock…
For a nice relaxed place to meet with a group and have dinner away from a casino try the bar a Gameworks next to the Coca-Cola store…
For pub food try Nine Fine Irishmen inside New York New York…
For 24 hour Chinese try the Victorian room at Bill’s Casino…
That’s a good start…
I like Ruth’s Chris
Of course there’s always the Hofbrauhaus, and the ever present (not on the menu) Blue Plate Special at The Hard Rock Cafe
I’ll second Ruth’s Chris. Been there literally a dozen times over the past seven SHOT Shows when taking customers out to lunch.
It’s worth noting that most restaurants that take reservations book up early (days early) during SHOT. Many of the larger companies book tables at many of the better restaurants under the company name for meetings and customer butt-kissing. Also, my recollection is that a surprising number of places are closed for lunch on Sunday.
Hof Brau Haus … Mmmmmm!
Regretably, don’t know if I’ll get there this trip.
Other than that, I can’t be of any help. I just don’t get down there enough to know.
I’ve been to Vegas only two times so my experience is limited but good. The Range steakhouse in the Harrah’s is a great steak restaurant, reservation needed. I think it equals all the 5 stars steaks anywhere. In the Mirage there’s Samba, Brazillian steak (churascaria style), I was stuffed with meat and liquor. Don’t let the buffet style restaurants in the casinos/hotels scare you off. They ain’t your daddy’s Golden Corral. Their food are superb. The Mirage has one of the best buffet and so does Caesar’s.
If you can’t find a good place to eat in Vegas, it’s because one’s not trying.
If you want to check out somewhere neat and throw back a few shots of vodka, check out Red Square in Mandalay Bay. You can get dinner there but I’d go just to check it out and have a few drinks.
Get reservations at Charlie Palmer’s at Mandalay Bay.
He has another restaurant called Areol (sp?) in another hotel (can’t remember the name).
I really enjoyed the Buffet at Luxor. The Maxim had a tasty Prime Rib.
Not far off the strip is Jerry’s Nugget. They are known for their Prime Rib that comes in three sizes; English Cut 8-10 oz $10.59, thick cut $16.59, and double cut $33.18. I had the thick cut once and that thing was huge (and good). I could never finish a double cut seeing how big the tc was. Nice coffee shop with good service. It is sort of past the Downtown casino area on N Las Vegas Blvd.
If you can, check out the Bellagio breakfast buffet. Fantastic is all I can say.
No on the UFC thing.

Thanks guys for the advice. I have been to Vegas more times than I can count, but never paid attention to any of the restaurants (other than the casino buffet’s).

The best meal I have ever had in Vegas was at The Four Seasons. It was amazing.
Border Grill at Mandalay Bay – casual atmosphere, reasonable prices, excellent new Southwest menu, reservations accepted.
Fleur de Lis at Mandalay Bay.
I really enjoyed my meal at Bradley Ogden’s in Caesar’s Palace.

It was a bit pricey, but overall a good experience. I don’t know if I’d have gone there if I had to pay for it myself though. ![]()
