I have not been able to find a Glock 19 anywhere everyone around here is out of stock. The main dealer I go to said he has backordered 15 from all his distributors and nobody knows when theyll be back in stock. Anyone know why the shortage?
Obama. Since his election everybody’s been buying the dickens out of everything they can get…that includes Glocks. Dealers in my area were having trouble getting them even before all of that. The dealer I use for my transfers hasn’t had a 9mm Glock in stock since July. He says they just can’t get them.
A good friend (and long time Glock employee) told me at SHOT that the company is over 100,000 pistols backordered right now. That’s not all G19s but … that’s a lot of guns.

Dang this sucks! I did see one today at the gunshow but the guy was asking $579.00+tax. He came down to $550.00+tax but I passed I figured they would be back in stock soon.

I tried to contact Glock and see if I could get one of those great deals since I just transferred to my agencies enforcement section.
I got transferred to a voicemail. Admittedly, this was yesterday evening around four.
Still, who do I need to call?
Check pawn shops. You’d be surprised how many decent used guns you can find there sometimes.
No real problem finding G19’s here.
I set out to purchase a G17 Friday and found out all the Glock distutors in the area are out of 17 and 19 and aren’t expecting anymore in till end of March. I figured the G19 would be hard to come by, didn’t expect the 17 to be.
Might be time for a G20!!
No shortage…Glock is producing as many or more pistols than the normally do. It’s the demand. Sales are up 40-70% depending on where you’re looking. Many people are wanting guns, even the people who voted for Obama.
The only ones here that seem to be OOS here are the ones in the LEO package. I called the dealer a few days ago, and he said he will take orders for them but does not have an ETA. The regular packages he did have in stock at regular price though.
There are plenty of guns to go around from other brands.
Glock 19’s have become very tough to get because it got serious after Obama got elected. People stopped BS’ing and reverted to tried and true.
When it counts, go Glock
I just bought mine about a month ago at OMB in Lenexa, Ks. Paid 399.99 for it with 3 hi-cap mags. They had it ready when I got the paper work done. You might also try Keisler Defense, Im pretty sure they take trade in’s if you care for a used one.
Cabelas in hamburg, PA had one in the case. Don’t know if theyhad more in the back.
G19’s have been hard for us to get for weeks now. 17’s , 26’s, and all other flavors are no problem. This is in DFW area.
That’s how I looked at it when I bought my G17.
The only reservation I had was a M&P9 with TS, which I still haven’t seen yet.
I ran into a friend and long time Glock employee also at the range this morning (probably the same gent “C.E.”. He told me the same thing. The fear of the kenyan socialist imposing a presidential order forbidding importing of foreign guns.
Thank God I called Ms. Cleo and got the scoop about 6 months ago. Also, glad that I went on R/R when I did. Perfect timing and was able to pick up more stuff for the End of Days.
I picked up a new G-19 last weekend. I had been looking for a little while and not seen any. A friend went into a local shop just as the owner put two into the counter. He immediately put my name on one and gave me a call. By the time I got there the second had been sold.
That makes my second 19. Now we have one for my wife and one for me
