Found one today after calling 6 different stores. The guy had some for $529 he said they normally sell for $499 but he had to pay $30 shipping where he found them. The serial # starts with MFR*** and the date on the caseing envelope is 12-15-08.
One thing I noticed different on this Glock compared to my others, on the barrel there is a 1 stamped between the GLOCK stamp and the pentagon stamp. Anyone know what this means?
I bought mine in October and it begins with MFM.
Just saw two brand new ones–on Friday–at my local shop. They were selling for $519 each. Of course, they probably sold over the weekend! 
Almost every gun shop I hit in the Tampa area this weekend had a bunch of them in stock. Price was about the same. Are you sure your gun shop isn’t just letting a few out at a time to hype the hysteria?

Just picked up a 17 dated 01/09/09 from my friendly LE distributor (G&W).
They have a bunch in stock. LE package is $399 plus ship with three mags.
No, I went to Bill Goodmans Gunshow and called 7 different shops and only one had them and he had to get them somewhere other than his normal distributor. Davidsons Gallery of Guns and Buds Gun Shop didnt have any in stock on their websites. Maybe its just around here I live in southwest Ohio. The shop I usually deal with are great guys and they had not jacked the price up on any of their other Glocks or any of their other guns so it wouldnt prosper them to just let a few out at a time.

Hard luck finding them out my way as well. I am hoping to pick up a 2nd soon. That being said the Rep at shot said the 19 that will be offered with the new grip texture will not have finger grooves or have a thumb rest… I like that idea very much I just hope they will still be legal by then.

I picked up a G19 a week ago. Thought I should before hi-cap pistols are no longer legal. That thinking is probably why they are scarce. Mine was dated 1/12/09 and S#MUP XXX and I had to search the town to find it.

Working at a fairly large gunshop down in Georgia, I have to say that a Glock 19 is almost as hot a commodity as a Ruger LCP. The LCPs last a matter of minutes when they come in and the Glock 19s have been lasting about 4 hours from when we put them out. It is almost absurd at how fast some stuff has been selling.
My recommendation to anyone is if you want a Glock 19 and find one, buy it now.
Police supplier that I bought from in the past is out of most Glocks. Of course being a PS they sell for below MSR than the other shops in the area. The other shops still have plenty of Glocks for sale if you’re willing to pay MSR.

Just heard that a shop in Clarkesville has one for $499.00+tax which is the regular price for around here.
I just picked up a 19c for 550.00 +tax…didnt really want the comp but its the only 19 in the state it seems. Shop owner stated a 220,000 gun backorder:(.
