I look forward to the reviews. I’m very interested in purchasing one of these at some point after I move
We are starting to ship the RAD Pack on monday!!!
We are expecting to be completely caught up with ALL orders from all 3 runs by the end of the following week.
This means you have a couple of days left before the pre-order price is no longer available.
I have a ?? The pockets can fit soft armor in conjuction with the plates? Thanks.:suicide:
You can slide soft armor as well as plates inside the Carrier if you need to do so.
PS: On a side note though, I noticed that emoticon you had on the end there. This system will not protect you should you choose to do that particular action…
How easy is to put back together the metal wire that you pull to deploy the system? I’ll be ordering 1.Thanks.:moil:
It takes about 30 seconds to a minute to put it back together. Its also ambidextrous and can be wired over the left or right shoulder depending on how you want it.
Just a heads up we are looking at the price going up on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
If anyone have hands on in the RAD Pack?, that can post comments or opinions about the Pack.:neo:
Bonus points for originality, but if someone is going to carry around a backpack with plates in it you might as well wear a concealable vest/slick PC and carry normally with a belt holster. I’m having a real hard time figuring out a real world application for this thing but hey, I hope you sell all that you make. Business is business.
Go see a patent attorney NOW, guys. I can recommend an Oceanside attorney if you need.
(edit, thought you hadn’t seen a patent lawyer yet, carry on!)
nice idea
i think the crazy tacticalness of it would also greatly increase the intimidation factor
ya we got that covered from the start
thanks though
Can’t wait to get mine…
When are the black/blue packs expected to ship?
we had a hiccup. black and blue will be shipping either tomorrow or the day after.
Very interesting. Would be useful for a school where we can’t carry but can still have access to armor. (Not implying you should or could break the law with your CCW. Leave the gun elsewhere and still have protection.)
Question though, can the armor portion be separated from the backpack, or the backpack be zipped up while armor is deployed? For instance if I wanted to use it for a training class?
How does the RAD pack differ from the Covert backpack from the Swedish company, Snigel Design?

sweet, thanks for the update Ares…
Tuukka,
I’d say the biggest advantage Ares Armor has is that its here and available in the U.S.
I originally contacted Snigel almost two years ago to try to get one of their packs but was never responded to.
Finally, they mentioned that they had a US Distributor (MSA) and gave me a POC.
POC either didn’t exist or just didn’t feel like answering emails. I haven’t found anyone in the States with the Snigel Pack.
Never saw that before but from a quick look they are using a very different system from us.
Ours comes over the top as opposed to coming out of the side.
It looks as though you have to use the zipper on the side of theirs to where ours uses a quick release cable.
Look at this attachment system i found there site though… not sure how that works:

There are multiple compartments. the area for armor should not be used for odds and ends. the rear compartment is completely separate and should be used for all of your “other items”
ares armor & jsbsmarine,
Thanks for the comments and information, didnt want to muddle up the thread, just a product concept that I recalled seeing earlier ![]()
