Debut of the Patents Pending RAD Pack

A 3A armor panel can be cut and fit to most school backpacks for the wee ones. Most recently, an LL Bean Book Pack.

This is how I see this

We have had about 2500 hits on our video since last night… thanks for all the support

As a civi, rifle plates are harder than hell to get a hold of.

This might put some realistic use to them if I can get them.

There is a company that sells “Training Plates” that are capable of stopping 5.56

Very cool ares. I have been vigorously defending your video since it debuted, glad to see the new one up. That shut up a few people. Awesome. product, wish I had the cash to drop on one. :stuck_out_tongue:

I really like the concept. I would like to play with one some time soon.

Defence Tech are the plates I really want.

As soon as I can afford them, I’ll own some.

Thanks anyways though.

That’s a pretty cool idea. 2 seconds is not bad considering that you’re accessing a gun from pretty darned DEEP concealment. Comparing this to your EDC holster is not fair. Compare it to other packs intended for concealed carry similar to the Maxpedition gear slingers and such. You will be very pleasantly surprised at the time difference.

Not sure why you’d brain yourself during the draw stroke. Unless you didn’t use your brain and used a holster that didnt cover the trigger guard that is.

Looks very promising even as a day pack for general carry. It’s a bitch carrying concealed with even a light daypack on cause the shoulder and waist straps print like crazy or even make it impossible to carry and access the gun. Depending on what the new Camelbak Urban Assault looks like this may be my next daypack.

Is it hydration compatible? And is the area for the holster molle so we can attach any molle compatible holster and ammo pouch?

I like this concept and I will get one to test. I would probably only go with level IIIa soft armor panels for daily CCW. So, the dimensions that would fit are 10x12?

Yes it will fit standard plate sizes

Interesting. Will you make a version with soft armor? I have done it before. Carrying plates around everywhere is no fun.

It is possible to use soft armor with this in its current state.

The entire front of the plate carrier is molle, also there is a second pocket area in the rear of the pack that is seperated from the armor and weapon. The second area works for the knick knack storage compartment.

Yes I understand that but it does not seem that it would be any standard of a cut of kevlar. So it would have to be custom which is one more DIY for a retail product. I dont know how many people are comfortable with cutting up kevlar and sewing it back together.

I got a couple sets of soft armor panels that fit perfect, got them from hawke paks a year or so ago. I think they are made by pinnacle and also Safariland will custom cut you some soft armor. matter of fact im going to call them and see what they say asap.

Update: We are closing in on 40k views on our video

Just curious to know if ya’ll sell armor plates (soft/hard) and other wearable ballistic protection products that may be used in conjunction with the Ares Armor RAD Pack?

I am definately getting one and hopefully the rest of my team. I guess it will take awhile since they have 4000 hits on their video.

Are they? Never seriously looked at getting them but have toyed with the idea. Bought a refurbished Type IIA concealment vest from these guys and was very happy with the transaction and they definitely have plates for civilian purchase–though not sure they have Defense Tech plates:
