Noticed a post earlier a guy had a colt where the ejection port cover was not installed correctly from colt. His lower was marked ar-15 a4 I believe.
His also said LW LE carbine. different rifle.
You repeated a mantra they have been ignoring for years in regard to producing a full size A4 Rifle for commercial sale. I guess it was more cost effective to keep pumping out 6920’s. Whatever the reason, it’s good to see that they are finally bringing the A4 to market.
Yeah different lower just had never seen the a4 roll mark.

The roll mark on the other lower was marked. Ar-15 a4 lightweight le carbine. I know it’s a completely different model. Just saying its just not a marking I have seen 
Ah, I didn’t know that. A couple of guys I know in their late forties/early fifties covet them and are always asking me if I know anybody looking to sell one.
I’m very interested in this AR15 A4 model. I’ve been wanting a rifle length one for a while now…
if the final is stamped AR-15 A4 the goes the chance of having one in California :sad:

AR15-A4 was the roll mark on the first AR6720 lightweight LE Carbines that Clyde Armory brought to market with Colt. Now, I believe they are roll marked M4 Carbine, like the 6920s.
I’d be interested in getting ahold of one of these and glad to see Colt finally offering something other than 6920s and 6720s for the “tactical” minded market…

I, along with many others I imagine, have been dying for an all Colt M16A4 clone for years. I could never understand why they didn’t have one of these available. I love my M16A2 clone in the 6550. It will be nice to give him a copy of his modern contemporary. I just hope all of this madness with the attack on our rights doesn’t have Colt slamming the brakes on to crank out 6920s. I haven’t been able to find anything out about the new model. None of the dealers where I live had even heard about it or were willing to “take an order” or otherwise track one down when they become available. I’ve just added it to my daily gun searches. Hopefully one will pop up soon…and hopefully not at the currently super-inflated pricing.
Exactly. Simplify and also use the same upper and extensions to prevent any sort of mix up.
I’m eagerly awaiting Colt’s new models as well. While an A4 clone isn’t at the top of my list, I wouldn’t mind having one if the price is in line with the 6920’s. I’m actually interested in seeing more of their new Commando clones, but I fully understand that rolling out new models likely isn’t at the top of their priority list with all the recent events. I’m just ready for all this stupidity and panic to go away.

Hopefully not much longer since CDNN is advertising 6920s back in stock.
They really should have come with an M5 RAS. But they’re cheap enough to buy separately.
