Mine was an Omega 9 as well.
Really wish Monty would come out with a low profile bottom rail already. I absolutely love the rail, mounting method, etc - its really in a class of its own but I think its about 1/4" too tall.
If he could bring it down to 2.1" instead of 2.38" I don’t think I would ever consider using any other rail.
I’m with you on this. I really like the bottom rail to be as close to the bore as possible.
I love that bottom rail as-is. If I want something with that tucked up bottom rail, I’ll pony up for the RIS-II DD units, I tend to like the DD Lite and OmegaX cross-section better.
ETA: I meant to ask a question in this thread…
For those with an existing FSB that has a sling mount and bayo lug, I’m assuming they’ll have to be omitted prior to installation, or are they accomodated by this rail? I haven’t seen any definitive pictures yet…
Second edit - it accomodates the bayo lug, but not the sling swivel (which is simply dead weight anyway given the 2 QD cups)
