I have the DD FSP and really like it. and I also have the Centurion cut-out version for a middy. and I really like that too.

Sure looks like it to me. Probably, a prototype vaporware model at this point, because Stick gets all the cool stuff way in advance :neo: I love my 9" Centurion C4 rail, easily one of the better rails out there.
Looks like it will be worth the wait, this line of rails keeps expanding quickly.
I have read the measurements on Rob_S site, but in hand, are Centurion rails comparable to LaRue rails? The LaRue rails are the perfect height/width to me but I’m really interested in trying the Centurion…thanks for any details.
I have been waiting for these to come out for awhile. I held off buying the DD fsp rail as I wanted one from centurian. Looking forward to it.
All I can say is amazing!!! I have the 12" C4 and I couldn’t possibly be happier with it. Centurion will have my business from now on:D
Kind of off topic but are all of centurion’s rails FF or do they make drop-ins too?

NICE rail. I have 2 DD OmegaX FSP rails, and really like them, but having the integral sling mount IN the fwd part of the rail is a very nice feature that Dd doesn’t have.
I think in a lot of ways the parts are becoming more refined and user friendly. Because of features and weight these are my favorite rails. I currently have the middy cut out on a 14.5 BCM LW and just finished a 10" with a Centurion 14.5 LW. I’m slowly acquiring parts for my last one which will include a 12" rail over a recently purchased Noveske Afghan fluted barrel. This should make a fairly lightweight 400-500 yard tackdriver that gives up nothing up close.
take a look at the “cut-out” rails in the meantime. not 12:00 light mount capable but has “wings” that extend forward past the FSB for mount light or other accessories on the side.
very light, very strong and makes a perfect platform for a midlength. price is right too…
Centurions are my new favorite rails…
I love my C4 carbine cutout. I tried an X300 at 12:00 and didn’t care for it, so I really don’t need a 12" FSP rail. The cutout does everything I need without moving any more weight forward. Still cool to see Centurion producing more options in their super easy to install rail though. I’m just waiting for FDE to be released before I buy another.
With zero actual knowledge of Monty and the gang have been up to, I’ve been eluding to this model coming out for a while, and I too saw it first on Stick’s MS3 gearscout post.
I DO want to run an X300 on a pinned LW carbine upper I’ve already got, so I’ll just wait until this model is released and go from there. My only remaining concern is that they’ll have a hard time making enough of these - especially since they go so well with models like the 6720.

I have a carbine length cutout version from Centurion here. I’m not a big rail user, but for me the Larue design has always been the best overall, partially because of the rail width and height…so I know what you’re looking for in terms of feel.
The Centurion is just slightly wider than the Larue rail, but the bottom rail is noticeably lower than on the Larue. Each side rail is about 0.05" further out from center, while the lower rail is about 0.15" further out from center as compared to the Larue. Doesn’t sound like much but you may notice it, although I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. To be honest, the lower rail difference impacts the look more than the feel in my opinion (in terms of looks I prefer the lower rail to be tucked up closer to the bore like it is on the Larue…but that’s not a priority here). Functionally I think the Centurion rail is fine.
The thing I really like on the Centurion is the availability of the cutout versions that wrap around a FSP. I like to use the standard FSP as opposed to the low profile gas block with a longer rail and rail mounted sight. The problem is that carbine length handguards are quite short for me, so I’m trying the cutout rail to see if a little extra room will help.
The Centurion design does offer a potentially easier install, but I think the Larue design offers a more secure mounting system. I want to stress that this is just my opinion, but I just think that the Larue is less likely to come loose or shift on the barrel nut.
Pluses for he Cent FSP:
- Two sling attachments
- Being able to install on a 14.5" pinned without messing with the muzzle device.
