Blue Force Gear Rail Mounted Fixed Loop (RMFL)

Has anyone try using this mount on the top rail of their AR rifle? Does it interfere with the iron sights?

The loop is shorter than iron sights, but the sling will be at least partially blocking the view.

Thanks. I have been considering it. Tired of QDs. Looking for a solid way to attach the sling.

These will be offset, but

Stick an RSA on the rail

Then attach the sling with a

Paraclip

Or a

Mash hook

Or, depending what you can loop/choke on to

Sling cable

And BFG makes a few variations of the Wire loop

And there is paracord

Yeah I’ve been moving away from QDs and back to paracord

I think I have one that I set up specifically on a side because I believed top would interfere. Damned if I remember where or when though

Thanks. I currently have the Magpul RSA on a couple of rifles, but I don’t like the Paraclip.

I have a couple of BFG wire loops coming to try. Or might go paracord and be done with it.

Those damned Blue Force thing are massive. I also run a Forward Controls version. Also way too big. Gear sector made one that was at least contoured and reasonably sized.

100% paracord here. Watched too many QD guys pull their rifle out with a dangling sling.

I quit looking for a reasonably sized pic rain fixed loop and just started tying my sling through the vent holes directly to the rail.

Thanks. I have seen a few pictures of people running paracord through the vent holes and to the rail. Any issues with the heat and paracord?

Not for me. The paracord tends to stay tight in the loop and isn’t close enough to the gas tube to melt.

Thanks. I have this ADM mount on another rifle. It seems there is enough space to run paracord or a BFG wire loop through it, instead of using a QD.

U loop on an ALG mlok rail with a 1" Procter sling.

The BFG loops I ordered should get here Monday.

Do you have any concerns with that setup? It looks simple and solid.

Not really. It’s made of coated aircraft cable and the molded parts seem to be at least as sturdy as plastic sling buckles.

Nice. Thanks again.
