Anyone running an Aimpoint Comp M3?

I have done a small amount of research but found little on the Aimpoint Comp M3 2MOA sight.

Anyone here running one?

The reason I ask is because I was going to buy a PRO for my Colt 6940 but found a screaming deal close out price on the M3 and can get it for about the same price as the Aimpoint PRO. I am running a PRO on my older 6920 and like it but with a chance to get what appears to be a better sight…should I get the M3 instead?

Any opinions from those that own or run an Aimpoint Comp M3 would be appreciated.

I’ve got one, works great, I believe it has a longer battery life than the Pro, I’d grab the M3.

Is the mount better than the one on the PRO?

I love my PRO but I could see how that factory mount might not hold a zero if I really knocked it around.

I dump all the factory mounts, I have a KAC mount, and have used Bobro, Larue, and ADM, which are all good to go.

Comp M3 is the real deal. Go for it.

Eventually, i want to upgrade the stock mount on both this new M3 and my old PRO to maybe the LaRue mounts.

Never had a problem with the stock mount on the PRO but I can see that with some hard use - it could give me troubles.

I have a ML3 and it’s the only Aimpoint I’ve owned that I have no complaints with.

Avoid Aimpoint-brand mounts, get your choice of a quality aftermarket mount. I like ADM, but if you like Bobro or Larue or whatever, that’s good too.

I used the stock mount on an M4s for awhile and it was fine. I only went to a LaRue for lower 1/3 placement.

LaRue LT150, KAC straight-up, and the Wilcox mount are my favorites for the tube style Aimpoints.

M3 is better than the PRO.

Have some of my own and several more on agency guns. They are GTG. I replace the OEM mounts with LTs.

Get the M3. I am very pleased with mine.

I’m bumping this old one. I emailed Aimpoint to ask if they’d do an M3 or C3 reissue run.

The aimpoint PRO is a complete piece of shit with only 2… maybe 3 useful brightness settings. Every time it take mine out I think I have a dying battery.

C3 and M3 sights are nearly impossible to find in the used market.

It is a buy but I have 4 Comp M4’s so for me it would not be a priority.

Aimpoint replied to my inquiry. They said they won’t realistically remake the C3 because the Duty has a better battery and night vision isn’t a big requirement.

The why is the first 6 fucking settings on the PRO effectively NV?? I messed with mine again and generously only the last 3 setting are of any use.

Also Pappabear bought one of duty sights and I think he’d killed the battery within the first year.

There’s an ML3 on ebay for $800. Ouch. And you can order ML3s from europe for $900, but they don’t appear to have the real windage/elevation caps and rubber keeper. They have those budget caps in the item picture. Don’t appear to be the “real” original M3 or C3 that I have on my guns.

I swear Aimpoint could sell an M3 run to the cloner fags.
