Anyone running an Aimpoint Comp M3?

I love the series. The 2s didn’t have the battery life, and the 4s got too big and bulky. I wish had the money back in the day to buy a few extra C3s.

Hearing that the stock mount on the PRO hasn’t given you trouble is reassuring, but I get wanting to swap it before hard use rather than after. Since you’ve already run Bobro, Larue, and ADM, is there one you’d pick over the others for a Comp M3, or does it come down to whatever’s available? I’m curious whether the mount choice matters as much as people say, or if the stock setup is fine for most use.

This thread is older and some of the previous posters may not be around these days.

I can give my 2 cents though. Bobro is nice but a little bulky around the throw lever. I’d run an ADM, but I didn’t really find that many places selling them these days. I run several of the Scalar Works and although the first versions had a hinge that would break, the new ones have fixed that problem.

The one mount I’m dying to try out is the Geissele. I know it’s a bomb proof beast, but the 2 things I don’t love about it… but aren’t deal breakers are…

  1. It’s expensive at around $180, and
    1. It’s an absolute cowitness.
  2. I prefer the lower 1/3 but I do run some absolute co-witness mounts too.

The Wilcox mount, which cloner goobs like, is a piece of crap extruded turd. I have one and my gun fell over on tile. The gun lost zero and the mount galled the sight tube because it’s not a full contact/ring style mount. Total piece of cheaply made extrusion junk.
