In the original SOPMOD program Insight Technologies was selected as the provider of the light with their VLI offering. It was part of the kit and is seen on the original poster.
Very few of the real deal genuine lights made it out into the private sector. Finding them is next to impossible.
I HAVE 4X OF THE ORIGINAL INSIGHT TECHNOLOGIES VLI LIGHTS for sale. I’m keeping one. These are not stolen government property either. They will run on 3X CR123A batteries or 6X AA batteries. Integral mount attaches to Picatinny rails. Lockout tail caps and flip up front covers included as well. These guys put out the same light as the SureFire 3X CR123A powered weapon lights at a fraction of the weight. Shock isolated bezels as well. These are the Holly Grail of rail lights. They sell on ebay for CRAZY MONEY.
