One of the more bizzare attempts at suicide by cop I have ever seen. He’s not happy with his performance, but I guess his instincts told him not to shoot. It turned out for the best, but it could have ended very differently, glad it turned out as it did. His partner on the other hand, wow, just wow:
I saw that video the other day. I think the male officer’s hesitation and overall bad response was because he knew the subject and his family. He called them all by their first names and knew their situation- the officer is lucky he or the family members weren’t shot. And the useless female officer holding on to her notepad the whole time needs fired or made the evidence room clerk.
My Brother was a Small Town Eastern Arizona Cop for almost 15 years. He said he could almost predict by the Hour where he would be called to and what the call would be for.
Alcohol, DUI and Domestic Violence. The Bars are Closing time, time to go arrest the Drunks on Main Street.When that’s done there will be a Domestic at the Trailer Park, etc. etc.
He said you might arrest the same Guy 10 times for a mix of Battery, Dui and Domestic Violence and before long you know his Name and date of Birth.
Exactly. If the perpetrator had hurt someone else, the officer would have been blamed for not acting.
Sometimes you do things wrong and it works out. Other times you do everything wrong and it still goes to crap.
