Went to check ammo prices on Cheaper than Dirt and this was on the cover page, I find it interesting. Frank Proctor working with Windham on a Carbine? Not ever going to buy, but its interesting, are the bigger gun manufactures starting to pay attention to the wants of the discerning buyer? I don’t know. Please discuss among yourselves ( in a Mike Meyers voice)
Struggling to see how a 5.56 gun can do the following:
“It has a BCM Mod 1 compensator and accepts standard size DPMS/SR25 Pattern Magazines.”
At $1444 I’ll pass, but at least their trying?

Frank Proctor wasn’t nationally known just a few short years ago. Way of the Gun in Anniston, AL was one of the best unknown training locations/classes that cost next to nothing to attend compared to others and almost always had open slots available. It was a pretty big deal when he teamed up with Troy and somewhat Windham for his own carbine.
Now that he’s rubbing elbows with household names in training he’s going to be associated with elite companies like BCM.
I saw Frank Proctor about a month and a half ago, and he was shooting a BCM upper’ed rifle. 14.5" pinned w/KMR rail. He told me he was going to play with optics and barrels next. He was definitely in BCM’s camp, from the vibe I got, but he didn’t “fetishize” any aspect of his gear, although he was proud of his sling and the new light mount, both of which he had a hand/input in to various degrees, and is rightfully proud of. The rest was “Well…just what I’ve got right now”, basically, from what I gathered.
This would be a solution for guys wanting to run really heavy/long 5.56 bullets that wont fit into standard magazines.
That is an interesting carbine but at that price I’d buy a BCM 16" Reece carbine from G&R all day long and twice on Sunday. If it was priced at about $750 it would be a nice option as a beater/high round count practice/training gun.
