will a magpul moe cutout handguard ever exist?

Will it?

I feel like if such a thing existed it would perfectly fill an existing void. The whole point of moe handguards is that theyre simple and replace a non rail handguard without removing things like the fsb and without a huge weight penalty.

The problem with the typical non rail handguard is that it is short, especially for the carbine length gas system with fsb.

The best cutout handguard options seem to all revolve around full float and removing the fsb for installation.

Is such a thing even possible to design?

Your post was so convoluted that I have no idea exactly what you are asking. Are you asking about a handguard that is cut out for a switchblock?

free float rails can come pre-cut, but many that you see are cut by the end user for functionality. If you have MOE handguards and want to cut them, cut them.

He’s asking if they will ever make a longer carbine/mid-length handguard with a cut out for the FSB. (giving you a longer grip and more room to mount stuff)

I’d like to see that too actually. My first thought was would it be ridged enough. After cutting through several of them to mount IWC QD mounts I don’t think that would be a problem.

I’d buy one, or more

Whole thing reads like the OP suggested such a thing to the company, got told to pound sand, and now he’s irritated over it. I seriously doubt that that’s the case.

Hell, the title of the thread reads like Magpul’s committed a mortal sin by not being mind-readers.

I don’t think so. Get some sleep/get some coffee, whichever may be needed, collect your thoughts, and try again in such a way that doesn’t read as a petulant call-out.
