Whoa... (sizes of stuff)

http://htwins.net/scale2/

So are we really big or really small???

Kinda puts the whole “9mm vs. .45ACP” debate in perspective.

Humm… some facts are kinda wonky. As a paleo-nerd I know Tyrannosaurus was about 40 feet long or a little over 12 meters.

On the site it lists it as 7 meters.

This is for entertainment purposes only. :stuck_out_tongue:

T-rex… pfffft.
Godzilla is reported to be roughly 40 meters/131 feet tall, while King Kong is said to be around 40 feet/12 meters.
This would make Godzilla 3x the size of Kong.
Scale wise, that would be like a 6’ tall man taking on a 6 month old 2’ tall infant in a MMA fight.

Kinda puts a damper on the believability of those Godzilla vs Kong epics

A really scary comparative?
The barnacle has a penis 40x the length of its body.
John Holmes’ would be 1/6th of his body length, and most normal men are around 1/12th…

what about that Japan spider crab I’d shart myself If i saw that

:suicide: How creepy is that thing:fie: thanks Now I have seen it I need to clean up :fie:
I wouldn’t want to be a diver and see that coming my way HAHA

Most folks get pretty freaked out down here when they find out these are swimming around in our rivers and lakes. Sadly, the bigger ones are becoming increasingly scarce.

WOW That is Huge I thought the one on swamp people was big But that one looks Like something out of the Jurassic Park

Not me I’d grab my tin snips and melt some butter !

Michael

We were at an Aquarium in Japan that had a bunch of those spider crabs in a large tank. They were really cool to look at in the water.

When reading about ancient life, it is amazing at some of the sizes of things. Megaladon (giant shark) has teeth multiple times larger than Great White Shark teeth and is said to have been as large as a “school bus”…

Damn that’s a lot of marshmallow…

They have Chucky!

And things that actually existed.

Largest theropods. Tyrannosaurus ain’t the biggest no more, although still king for jaw power.

And another including the blue whale and some extinct mammals:

This guy?

yeah. I went to a rock & gem show recently and one vendor there was selling fossilized Megaladon teeth (and had Great White teeth as well). Pretty impressive to have a tooth that would basically cover a normal sized human adult palm (small medium male or normal sized female).
