Who has Knights SR-15's ?

Who has the best price on in stock Knights SR-15 carbines

scottsdale gun club is running them on special for $1999.

gonna put an order in on monday for a few. im excited.

There add says $2199, not $1999, maybe I did not look in right place but that is what it says. I am going to buy one of these or a LMT CQB Piston gun.

Fixed it for you.

OGC Tactical is where I got mine, not sure the current price though. Has a great deal on 6920’s right now so Id imagine the SR-15E3 is competitively priced as well.

I agree with Frogman, dude. Between a Knights Armament SR-15 E3 and a LMT piston gun, hands down the SR-15 is the better choice.

  1. The SR-15 will have MUCH less recoil! Pistons already recoil more than DI guns, and since the SR-15 is a mid-length as well (actually has a slightly longer gas system than a middy), the recoil from an SR-15 is WAY less than a piston gun.

I’m telling you man, you will be able to shoot much faster while maintaining great accuracy and making your hits on target with the SR-15 vs the LMT piston gun. If you put a muzzle brake on the SR-15, the recoil will be reduced to the point where it’s almost like firing a .22LR rifle. It’s friggin’ awesome and has to be experienced to really know what I’m talking about here.

  1. The SR-15 is very noticeably lighter than the LMT piston gun. I have never held an LMT piston gun before, but I don’t need to in order to be able to tell you with complete confidence that the SR-15 is lighter by far.

I used to have a LMT 10.5" SBR, and my SR-15 E3 actually weighed a few ounces LESS than the 10.5" SBR did when both of the rifles were set up exactly the same.

Because of the extreme light weight of the SR-15, you can really drive the hell out of it and shoot it all damn day without getting too fatigued. Whenever guys at the range pick my SR-15 up for the first time to check it out, they always get this huge smile on their faces and say, “Holy shit this thing is light! Man, this is way lighter than my rifle!”

I would highly recommend the SR-15 in your case, based on your comment about which other rifle you were considering. But please keep in mind that I was only comparing these two specific rifles, and my comments would’ve been a lot different had you said you were thinking about a different DI gun, or something different from the LMT piston gun.

The ONLY downside with the SR-15 is that you pretty much have to wear gloves if you’re firing it rapidly. The barrel is very thin, which is why it’s so lightweight, and because of this the handguard (which actually does have a heat shield too) gets way too hot to grab a hold of with your bare hand as you’re firing. If you’re just slow-firing from the bench, then heat is not an issue. But if you’re firing pretty rapidly, say in a carbine course, then gloves are a must. But I don’t really consider this to be that much of a downside, because the super light weight of the KAC SR-15 makes up for the heat issue in my honest opinion.

Hope all this helps, man. Take care and Semper Fi,

Paul

Yeah, wrong place. They advertised that price on their industry page at TOS. However, they edited the ad on 10/22 to say they ran out of the stock they were selling at $1999 in early September. Yeah, a bit misleading no doubt.

Call Casey @ Lawmen’s 772-569-8700. We have them in stock and will be competitive on pricing.

x2. i pretty much reacted the same exact way Paul described when i shot his. i built my first rifle a few months ago and got compliments from many others how light the rifle came out, but the sr15 is wayyy lighter and didnt move at all when i did a mag dump. after adding up everything i spent on the build, i should of just bought a sr15 to begin with.

Thanks much guys. Adios Lowprone!
