Which lower to use with VLTOR upper?

I’ll soon by using a Sun Devil with my VLTOR on my 3gun rifle. Orion will be engraving the VA Arms Co. logo on it.

I really like the Gen II POF/VLTOR combo. The integral trigger guard is a nice feature I think and the lockup is so tight I had to use one of ADCO’s black delrin push pin tools for the first 50-100 times I separated the two. I have this combo on two builds as well as POF/Larue Stealth billet and I am looking at another real soon.

Sun Devil or POF would be my choice. We have both in stock. :smiley:

I’ve played with the POF lowers, but don’t own any. I will say that I love the fit and feel of my SunDevil lower with my MUR/ DD lite combo.

I’m absolutely sold on the POF Gen II lowers but the more I see of the SunDevil lowers the more I think I may have to give someone a call about them.

What’s the difference between the Sun Devil and POF?

The POF pictogram is about all I can tell…

The Sun Devil features a textured front magwell and a tensioning screw that removes play from an upper and a lower.

Ditto on Sun Devil and VIS3 - jeez it was so tight with KNS anti rotational pins … I folded my thumbnail back being macho trying to pry it by hand I have a punch I fashioned and use it now. The tensioning screw is a cool addition and really they stole my idea… if someone had an older upper they couldn’t part with and knew it would have some play on any lower - Sun Devil problem solved.

John makes a good product and its reasonable. I’d buy a Novske or a CAV Arms.

I have a VLTOR MUR mated to a POF P415, which I just used at a Pat Rogers course, and a VIS mated to a Noveske barrel (by Noveske), in 6.8, also mated to a POF. I like the look and solid feel of the lower, and have no complaints about the one I used for the course.
