Which lower now?

Ok, so I thought I’d buy a BCM upper on sale with the bonus packages. Then I thought I’d buy a BCM lower to pair it with. Well, there are no BCM lowers available on the BCM website. So, what’s the next choice for a lower after BCM?

Easy… buy your BCM lower from Grant.

If you need one with an M4 stock installed:

Buy a blemished from Grant. I have bought several and cant seem to find the blemish

I’ve used several lowers from Spike’s,Aero Precision,SAA and other makers and put in quality LPK’s and they are good to go. I currently have BCM,Spike’s and Aero Precision. I like them all and have had no problems with any of them.

Mostly any lower will do. Spikes, areo, bcm, Anderson, PSA, …

Any 7075 forged lower that’s in spec will do.

Exactly. So you have to make sure that it’s from a reputable company that has rigorous quality control. Otherwise, the “in-spec” part is a crap shoot.

I recently bought a BAD lower. Really nice unit.

BCM goes well with Spikes IMO…

I think you should give a nod to San Tan Tactical. They are not forged but billet, so that may be a deal breaker from the gate. They are also fully ambi and come with and installed ambi mag release and bolt release. They also have two integrated anti rotation QD mounts on the heal of the lower. Lastly they come with take down pins installed and 45 degree safety selector ready. Their QC is great, it seems like everything was well thought out with producing them. I ordered a matching set when I got mine and was asked how tight I want the upper/lower. No slop whatsoever. I know they are off the beaten path but I know quality when I see it and for a billet ambi lower with hardware you really cannot beat the price.

I am also a fan of the BAD lower that I just got, the finish is great and it is not hard to see how much work went into the production of them. The price is steep but if you have the extra $ I would highly recommend one. I was lucky enough to reserve and pick my SN which is kinda cool. I am sending that lower out for NFA engraving.

Rainier arms has no BS lowers also. I think I got mine for like 125 and it has never failed me. Everything was to spec and I like that they are 45 degree safety selector ready.

Here is a pic of the San Tan

Mega Billet or Noveske GenIII

Sent On The Fly

ALL of the lowers in this thread will work well, do some research on the listed ones or just flip a coin!

So true. I have used expensive ones (Noveske/LMT/KAC) and some less so (Spikes, BCM) and never really noticed a huge quality difference. Good advise. All the recommendations are solid.

For the price the Mega forged lowers are nice. My new BAD-15 is also very nice but cost more than the Mega.

If you want a BCM lower then as mentioned above G & R Tactical is the way to go. First Rate folks.
