"Where have all the Zombies gone...?"

“…I don’t miss them.”

Never seen a fad die quicker than a zombie dying…again.

They’ll be back on February 10… 9/8c on AMC. :neo:

Actually noticed that at SHOT; “hey, where did all that stupid zombie-shit go?” Of course, given the current political climate talking about “zombies” doesn’t really help us any…

Now we’re all afraid of living people. Specifically the kind with access to a legislature and a police force.

Can’t wait! Also, Top Gear UK season 19 February 4th.

And also on June 21, the release date for World War Z: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0816711/

Mostly died of over exposure.

There has always been a zombie subculture since Night of the Living Dead. The internet allowed the Z-ophiles to find each other. Like most pop-culture phenomenon, the corporate world was late to the party then they tried to milk it for all it was worth. Once zombies went corporate it got real stupid and became less cool. I don’t it resulted in more sales so the corporate types dropped it to protect their brand.

The Z-ophiles are still all over the net but they now have a real enemy in the form of mindless Obama supporters.

Maybe some people had second thoughts and came to their senses and realized the ‘zombie’ bullshit ain’t exactly helping our cause with anti gunners

Of course they could all rally together, hold a press conference, and get Costa to issue a public statement on their behalf on why the Zombie threat is real, relevant , and guaranteed by the second Admendment

Or they could do the smart thing and just let what was childish and stupid from day one just fade away…

Even “The Walking Dead” lost me. Too much of people doing stupid things and having bad things happen to them. That’s not drama, that’s the newspaper.

Maybe since the Mayan calendar prophecy failed, people aren’t so caught up with the end of the world.

Is it really gone??? Do you really mean it???

There are some zombie movies still coming out, I still see commercial for those damn zombie targets. But it does seem to be slowing down a little.

Maybe someone figured out just how stupid that shit makes the entire firearms community look.

Thank god!!

I like a good zombie flick, and I like the Walking Dead, but to say all the zombie AR crap was cheesy, is the understatement of the year.

Until I actually “see” a zombie, it will be relegated to entertainment.

I like The Walking Dead for what it is… a TV show.

Where have they gone?

They’re probably on backorder. Like everything else.

Day By Day Armageddon fucking rocked!

I know it’s cool to hate on zombies now…and I understand that people didn’t enjoy the way it took over the industry(and I agree.) I don’t think it hurt our cause though…nor do I think any semantics we play with “sporting rifle,” “standard capacity magazine,” or any other such nonsense matter. If I thought it did I’d be all for it.

There are a few good zombie books(lots of awful ones,) and I challenge any of you to read Day By Day Armageddon and tell me you didn’t enjoy it.

I’ll send the book to any one of you free of charge if you send it back when you’re finished.

ETA: I don’t miss zombie reticles, ammunition, special lowers, nor any of that. If I owned a large firearm company I wouldn’t have participated. I just think it’s irrelevant and didn’t hurt anyone.

Hard to think about “shooting zombies” when there is no spare 223 or 9mm to be found anywhere. People are saving their ammo in these calibers and not blazing away on stupid shit like zombie targets. LOL

I also believe the gun industry DID realize that the zombie craze was not helping our cause or the views on guns one bit.

Lets just be glad it is gone.

If the zombie craze brought new shooters to the sport, or existing shooters to the range to shoot more, it was not without some utility. I am glad to see it die though.

I think maybe Algore ate them. I see he’s on the loose again.

I don’t mind the Zombies in the entertainment realm, just thought it was dumb as shit in the serious firearms realm.

I think the zombie thing got a whole new generation of kids interested in firearms just as previous generations were by TV shows about WWII and before that westerns.

So long as it isn’t taken any more seriously than cowboy action shooting there isn’t a problem. That said, I’m glad it is calming down a bit.
