What did YOU do with your Centurion stripped lower?

I just picked up my CM4 lower from the group buy from my FFL today. My dad and I have been planning an AR pistol together for months, and the lower was the last piece of the puzzle. We built it today and had a blast doing so. I only test fired it one time, but it cycled XM193 perfectly and locked back on an empty magazine. We’ll be putting a lot more rounds through it this weekend!

I’m very happy with the lower and the fact that Monty gave us this opportunity.

For anyone wondering, the complete parts list for the build is as follows:

Lower:
Centurion CM4 stripped lower receiver
SIONICS Builders LPK w/ambi safety selector
BCM mil-spec fire control group
BCM trigger guard
Magpul MOE K2 grip
No name castle nut from SIONICS
No name end plate from Joe Bob Outfitters
Springco Blue spring
SIONICS H2 buffer
SBA3 brace w/carbine receiver extension

Upper:
DD Mk18 stripped upper
BCM 4x4 charging handle
Toolcraft NiB BCG
Doublestar A2 flash hider
no name crush washer

I have one built as a carbine lower, and one with an A1 stock.

You reminded me that I need to pick up some blue springco springs.

Replacing a less than desirable lower on a current pistol build. Being built up with a Colt LPK and an SBA3. Switching out the current upper also for continuity/OCD sake. Will match up nicely with the C4 Rail already on the build.

I had to pass up the deal, sadface.

That is a schweeet blaster.

Awesome stuff! Looks like fun, jealous you got your pistol built out already.

I am probably at a year left in my endeavour to turn it into the new GAU-5A. Start it out as an sba3 braced and move over to a stock when the sbr form comes back.

I intend to form 1 all 3. The first will be a 10.3” suppressor host with G rail. I’m planning to use an A5, Sandman, one of Clint’s gas port thingies, DD grip, and a EDT trigger.

Edit: My FFL received them today.

Hey Stick,
Were those (upper/lower and rail) all from the group buy?

Looks like a nice set up.

Just out of curiosity, how do you guys find the fit between the lowers and uppers? Is it nice and tight, or is it kind of sloppy? I ask because I’m thinking about ordering one for an A2 build I have planned, but not sure how these would mate to a non Centurion upper.

One of my lowers will be paired with a complete factory Centurion 16" RECCE upper. The other will be a spare that may find a home with a LMT CQB or Colt 6940 upper.

Nice and tight with the DD upper

What have I done?

  1. Let it at FFL because I haven’t had time to get over there during open hours.
  2. Spent hundreds of dollars on parts to complete them.

General plan: A1 stock, BRT 16” SPR barrel, LaRue MBT-2S, GG&G QD scope mount, scope TBD

I picked up my two lowers, upper and handguard today. I also picked up a C4 BCG for $99 during their sale this week.
I have no idea what I’m doing for a barrel yet.
The second lower went to the fiance’ because apparently I have to buy two of everything now…

Looking forward to pics!

Sounds expensive, but there are worse problems to have!

I must say it’s a way better issue than trying to sneak things in the house!
I came home with a Colt lower from Brownell’s a couple months ago and when she saw it she said… “where’s mine?!”

Nothing says “l love you” like a set of His & Hers consecutively serial numbered AR lowers

I can see one of these in my future. Please post a review once you’ve had a chance to shoot.

My two are on factory centurion 14.7 carbine upper with fsp and c4 fsp pocket rail and the other is a 14.5 recce upper from them. Both have pinned warcomps. Both shoot amazing.
