Yep. I’m tapping out. Nice “knowing” you guys. I don’t have time for this shit. This forum software sucks. I can’t even find a tab to contact site admin to get my name back and my old email doesn’t work anymore so it just swallowed my AKDoug account.
Still lurking. I won’t be going to another site. M4 was the last firearms forum I participated in. I’m middle aged and cranky. Nothing about this non-traditional layout interests me. Many other forums I have been a part of have migrated to new software that maintained some level of familiarity. You have topic pages. The topics on those pages a lined up in chronological order. Responses to those pages are chronologically listed, and divided among pages for easy organization. This shit show is worse than the layout and operation of Reddit. I don’t even recall what forum software M4 used in the past, but XenForo sure seems to work for many firearms related sites and makes way more sense than this one.
There can be new ownership but why not leave the forum it as it was, because I don’t think it was broke. I don’t see myself coming to this new forum much anymore, because it seems more complicated, restrictive and dying, IMHO flip the switch back to where it was.
