Warren Competition Sights for Glock Question

I recently bought a glock 34, I installed the I recently bought a glock 34, I installed the Warren Comp Sights, with a .245 Front F.O.

I went to the range today and I was shooting too low out to about 60 feet.

I really bought these for Purposes of GSSF and IDPA.
Would I be better off with the shorter .215 Fiber Opt Front sight?

These distances would be about 5 to 20 Yards…

Please help me out here
I am shooting mostly 124gr and want to shoot 147gr 9mm with these…, with a .245 Front F.O.

I read that POA POI is 25 yards with these sights and I guess thats too far out for what I want to shoot.

Your front sight is super tall. I’ve found what I think is the perfect combo…Warren rear with Ameriglo orange outline/ green tritium front. Sounds like the .215 will be your best bet. That front is super fast and has worked well for me in IDPA.

Yeah, .215 is usually the industry standard for 9mm/.40 sights on Glocks with Warren, Heinie, 10-8, Dawson fixed, and various other sights

Every Glock can be different. I have to shoot .245 front heights on two Gen4’s (17 and 34). Warren’s on the front and rear.

At 25 yards my .215’s print three inches high both on the 17 and the G34. The G34 prints slightly higher than the 17.

Other guys with .215’s on 17s are spot on.

Most people with a G34 split the difference and opt for a .235 front.

I dont mind the gun printing high as i use a six o’clock hold and i can see more of my target this way.

To each their own and also, to each gun their own! If that made any sense… :slight_smile:

go with the .215 front. even if it may shoot a little high with it, that should be fine. i’d rather print a little high than low.
as everyone else has mentioned, all glocks will shoot slightly differently. in my glocks, even the same bullet weight but different brand of ammo will shoot different (both in windage and elevation).

i have warrens on my G34 with a .245" front sight and it shoots POA/POI at 25 yds. i have warrens on both my G19’s with .215 front sights, and one of them is POA/POI and the other prints about 3-4" high.

That Ameriglo front sight is .165" tall. The Warrens require at least a .215…

How is your gun not shooting multiple feet high at 25 yards?

They make a .220" ProGlo front as well, I would assume that’s what he’s using. :dunno:
