I’m really thinking about buying a PPQ, after all the positives I’ve read about them. The only problem is, there are no shops around me that sell one. I can have them order it, but I’d rather not pay out my ass only to find out I don’t like it. Now, I have held a number of P99’s equipped with AS triggers.
Here’s my question; is the trigger reach of the PPQ the same length as the P99 AS in its “single action” mode? That’s the one measurement I am most interested in. I’ve got tiny hands (men’s extra small gloves), and the P99 trigger in “SA” mode fits me great. Wondering if the PPQ is the same.

Between the PPQ, and the P99 in SA-mode (trigger rearward), they are about the same as far as trigger reach when the triggers are at rest.
The position where the PPQ trigger break is will be further forward than the SA trigger break of the P99 though, as the PPQ trigger itself is a little wider front-to-back. I prefer the position where the PPQ trigger break is over that of the P99, and my hands aren’t that large either.
If the P99 fits you, more than likely, the PPQ will as well. Also, if you want to know what the PPQ trigger feels like, just pull the trigger on the P99 AS in SA mode. Same trigger break, and same reset between the two pistols, with the take-up on the PPQ being just a little bit heavier.
