I had to drive to town this morning to see the doc; after that visit I rode over to the local Walmart to see what (if anything) was left or arrived on their shelves. It was pretty empty’d except for a couple boxes of 44’s. I asked the salesperson behind the counter when he expected another shipment. Then he told me, “Walmart has suspended shipments of ammo except for shotgun shells.” Wow, really? So I then ask him when this went into effect, and he told me yesterday. I got enough to last me a little while, and I’ve had an order for some 5.56 from Cabella’s on backorder since Dec. They’ve sent me an email today saying they expected my order on Jan 25th. After that, I’m just going to wait and see what happens. Over at the gun store in town, they didn’t have any powders I wanted to buy. W231, Bullseye, and H335 was all gone. No primers either, and I’m not paying that ridiculous hazmat fee to have these shipped. I might have to start looking at some of the other powders and loads. :eek:
