Yep. Keymod is WOMEN ONLY! ![]()

You will have one in a few years, I can remember when you hated stocks and rails. ![]()
I was LITERALLY JUST THINKING THAT.
Iām sitting here getting ready to post that I WOULD NEVER buy this stupid thing⦠But HEY!! In 10 years, I just might have one! ![]()
LaRue index clips have made tubes āmeh, okayā in my book. I really like how they feel, and I like that it gives me the versatility to use standard mounts. In time the KM may be g2g, but for now, itās a bit of a odd duck.
The day he puts a red dot on a gun there will be world peace, Israel and Palestine will hug, Chechens and Russians will shake hands and share vodka, hell, even the dogs and cats will get along.
I have an Aimpoint on an SBRā¦
It hasnāt brought any good to the world. ![]()
Iām very glad to hear that the regular Vltor VIS line wonāt be phased out any time soon.
I plan on selling off my LMT MRP (Rifle & CQB) uppers for a VIS-2 (or VIS-2A, I havenāt decided) soon.
While the VIS-KM looks nice, I actually like the flexibility offered by the rails on the regular VIS line. If I want to relocate something to a different position, I just move it there. With the KeyMod, Iād have to first place a rail section there. And if I donāt happen to have a section of rail with me⦠![]()
did you maybe put it on backwards?
Well I put it on the bottom rail section to keep it out of the fukkin way! ![]()
not if youāre using a keymod-compatible mount. the whole idea is to eliminate the rail.
Vltor cannot even get the Keymod out in the same year they said it would be out, how long, exactly, are mounts scheduled to take, and how long will they really take? I love Vltorās products, but they really seem to CONSISTENTLY drop the ball on delivery date.
I talk to noveske yesterday - no expected delivery till next year.
Why does everyone but noveske have a vis?
![]()
Sorry I was referring to the vis -km
Noveske is trying to pimp out their key mod
Right now- Iām sure the lowpro will go away also
Gotcha, Noveske has treated me right on this deal, though, my question now is about future purchases, not my current order. Again, Noveske has taken care of me.
iām not referring to mounts made by vltor, but by other manufacturers that will be making KM-compatible mounts. youāll see them at SHOT.
when the vltor VIS-KM comes out, noveske is slated to get the first batch before anyone else.
Awesome! I certainly hope it is compatible with the 55W flux capacitors that will surely be the standard by then.
I guess Iām being a bit of an ass, but Vltor makes great products but seems to take FOREVER to deliver, and keeps saying ātomorrow tomorrow tomorrowā instead of just saying āHey, itās going to be 8-12 months, but this WILL hit the streetā and then making good on it within their time-line. Or they could just not announce it at all until itās about ready, like Surefire is starting to do with their suppressors, namely, the SOCOM. I thought that was a class act. I can buy one today, and they were only announced a about 6 months back, and for an item that requires paperwork for transfer and manufacture, thatās pretty tits that itās sitting on dealer shelves right this second.
Yes, i agree - itād be nice. But such is manufacturing and real life, when sometimes the best laid plans go awry.
Pushing a date back week by week is not a well laid plan going awry, itās blind optimism meeting reality. I could understand 1 or 2 setbacks, a few months apart, because of course life happens, but to continually weasel the date back? Again, I love Vltorās current products and know they put out top notch gear, I just hate how they have made a name for themselves as esteemed purveyors of vaporware.
what dates are these? are they something that vltor has published/promised, or āestimatesā from dealers or folks on the internet? where exactly is this weaseling going on?
