Between getting the transferable gun, sourcing the parts, transfer times, and build times, this AK has been an almost 3 year project, and I’m glad that I finally have it back! In the end I can happily say that it was worth it.
This video explains the build in reasonable detail, and I have plenty of shooting in it too.
I like it. I use it like a normal hand guard with the stock open. If the stock is closed you put your thumb in there and shoot it from the hip “tommy gun style.”
When I’m training my attire is a little different. When I shoot for fun and it’s 100 degrees, flip flops it is. I’m from Kauai, Hawaii man…it’s in my blood.
Thanks. It kicks the most out of all of my machine guns that’s for sure which is weird. I’m so use to shooting guns, that it’s easy to handle for me though. Proper stance etc is always key with any gun…especially with full auto.
