US Palm/TD AK Battlegrip

I like it!
it’s the most comfortable grip i’ve felt on an AK so far - fills the hand nicely and has internal storage with a rubber trapdoor. the lines compliment the AK (IMHO) as does the reddish-brown colour (for some furniture combos).

Looks a bit like a VZ-58 grip.

Are they available yet?

soon, i think.

Looks great, I’m glad these are closer to being on the shelf. I was about to order a couple of the Hogue AK grips but I’m going to hold out until these are available.

Looks very cool, I like how they picked a bakeliteish color.

it also comes in black and FDE.

Storage in the grip?

I have to say I’m pretty impressed. Their AR battle grips speak for themselves so they already have the street cred. I like the fact that they are offering a Bakelite color that I think will please a lot of collectors and shooters alike.

I look forward to getting one a trying it out.

MM, any word on a release date?

I was about to say “Hey, that looks like a Tango Down grip” when I realized that IS a Tango Down grip. Awesome. I didn’t know they were doing AK stuff.

I saw one of the late prototypes at a Hackathorn carbine class a few months ago. Looked and felt solid (like pretty much everything else TD makes), and hey, I run one on my primary AR, so why not on my AKs?

Hey militarymoron, is that a LaRue IronDot I spy there? Are they still making those? (Feel free to reply via PM to avoid thread derail  )

yes - the grip is hollow and provides quite a bit of storage space. the whole grip is the compartment; it’s not divided like the M4 battlegrip.
i don’t have a release date, sorry.
yes, it’s the LaRue AK irondot. i haven’t seen them on their website for a while, so i’m not sure if they’re still being offered.

Looks good! I have to try one or two of them when they come out!

WOW,
I really like that grip! Thanks for sharing. Also, what type of single point sling attachment is that?

Thanks,
Kirk

i modified a mesa tactical shotgun sling loop for an 870, drilled a hole through the receiver and bolted it on. it’s actually the rear attach point for a 2-pt sling. the front is that sling stud on the lower handguard.

Looks like a nice grip. Anyone got any advice on where to send a VEPR K in 7.62x39 to get it modified for standard/folding stocks and handguards as well as a nice brake or hider? I need to get it refinished as well. Standard robinson arms furniture set sucks and I ordered mine before they had muzzle brakes on them.

This grip looks awesome! I dig the bakelite look too.

I’ve had EXCELLENT work from Jim Fuller at Rifle Dynamics.

A huge +1 for these grips. I have played with them and love the way they feel on the rifle. Fills out the hand more and the storage is just icing on the cake.

On the edge of my seat until they ship them out. US PALM is making some awesome stuff for the AK!

I am waiting for one as well… either that or the adapter and a magpul MIAD…

ACE Ltd, makes a receiver block for the VEPR but you will have to cut off the tang.

As for work done Krebs has a history with VEPRs.
