The Senate voted Thursday to confirm Adm. Lisa Franchetti as the Navy’s 33rd chief of naval operations,
Franchetti became not only the first woman to serve as the Navy’s top officer, but the first to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Good for the Admiral, I wish her the best of luck.
I don’t !
This is another slap in the face !
It probably doesn’t matter. You dont get to their level as a trailblazer. You get there as a puppet to power doing what donors want for profit and empire. To the extent that these appointments are just ceremonial overlaying a continuous agenda that is globalist approved.
This fella knows what’s up.
For the love of all that is holy can we have one thread–just one–that is not mired in some tinfoil-born, conspiracy, global world agenda??
That bothers you but the insinuation she got the job just because she’s a woman didn’t?
Okay.
Honestly? I never thought about it. Not once. One way, or the other. But I click on a thread thinking, “hey, I was in the navy, let me check it out,” only to see a thread devolved into every other thread on the general discussion section.
It’s not a conspiracy. Like minded group think at the top is no accident. “They” make sure you get your mind right before giving you the title.
I know, right? God forbid it was not a black woman who happened to be a Methodist. The entire US Navy would have been toast.
Non sequitur?
No. Pulling your chain.
Rather than worry about her race, gender political ideology, why don’t we review her CV on naval warfare?

Thoughts?
I think it’s interesting she went up to the XO level aboard ship and then staff and leadership at the task force (and above) level without having been a CO on a ship.
I really don’t care one way or the other that she’s a woman if and only if she can restore the Navy’s war fighting capability and grow the Navy to where it needs to be.
Looked like she was CO on the USS Ross (DDG)? What it doesn’t show is for how long and what was her rating/effectiveness? Was she a shining star or a Peter Principle promotee?
I missed that. Given how quick the Navy will axe ship COs, I would imagine she was a shining star.
Could just be better at CYA, though. Pray for the best and prepare for the worst, just like any new person and every new day.
At that level they are all the same. You are spot on.
How much experience do you both have with flag/GOs? Have either of you actually spent any time with one or more or is this just more private news network info?
Miss me with all that, we’re here to stereotype and generalize and nothing more.

GTFO with all of that need for objective and rationality BS. We knee-jerk here! Some of us are conspiracy-based so get on board!
